First Ones victory conditions
The younger races have patently different goals from the Shadows and Vorlons in Bab 5. I've been playing another mod that is kinda Bab 5 light. Basically it lets you use Shadows, but none of the other races. It's a darn good mod, but does not recreate the full Bab 5 experience by any measure. One thing stuck out to me during play in fact.. something relavant to this mod. As Shadows the normal Stellaris victory conditions do not make sense.

They wanted to create Chaos. Being the last race standing is not appropiate. That isn't making the younger races stronger through strife, it's making them extinct for a new crop to grow. Nor is making a huge Federation.. they don't want long term friends. Just convient pieces for the board to further their goals. Oh a few Allies like the Drac. But in cannon they tend to turn on everyone else eventually, because they won't grow stronger without it.

While the Vorlons might be able to use a Federation victory, the Shadows simply should not. As such we need a new one. Something along the lines of.. a Chaos count? Say a counter of the number of worlds in play multiplied by a factor tied to difficulty rating of ships/stations destroyed in play? Not necessarily by them.. they want to cause conflict. They don't have to do that directly. They want to poke others into fighting.

It would take some testing, but it's at least an ideal for a more fitting goal. Just tossing out there, perhaps 75x the number of habiated worlds destroyed in ships/stations. So as empires grow, the number goes up. On the flip side, late game wiping out worlds would lower the total number needed, raising the stakes. of course we would need planet killers for that. It's possible somehow, they are in the other mod. But I didn't make it far enough before Heinlein to see just what they were using, so I can't offer any ideals on that just yet.

As to the Vorlons, an alliance victory makes sense. But tying it in somehow to the number of lost Shadow ships/stations and perhaps reducing them to a small number of worlds would fit better. Perhaps along with a number of Federation members tied to the number in game. This would help emulate the ideal of them creating and enforcing order, while removing those who will not obey.

These are just rough ideals, but something i wanted to toss out there. :)
