how do you spawn Avali merchants?
So I'm building a avali themed city with avali living in it and I'm trying to figure out how to spawn in the Avali merchants? I saw in a video you must use storage containers, race theme lights and doors. But when I try this, it just spawns in normal avali. Which furniture do I need to use to get a avali merchant to appear?

Well, if you really want to cheat, then you can always go into admin mode and then execute "/spawnnpc avali merchant" ....

Well, there is that. But what do you need from the mod to spawn them in the normal way?

A bit of luck mostly. Avali containers have the tags Avali and Storage.
So, in adding things up, the Avali score out-weighs the Storage score needed for the merchant (because you've probably used an Avali light and an Avali bed), and you'll get a few dozen normies before your first merchant.

Try using non-avali Storage items, prefereably a blend of them so no other race gets a high enough score to contest the Avali one.

So I should use like say one wooden box, one avali storage container and I would be set?

Try 3 small wooden boxes, an avali pillow (yes, the pillow is a bed, it's just tiny) and then the light and colony deed. (the door can be Avali too, that helps sometimes)

That's what I did when I took over an Avian Airship, and the Avali merchant spawned just fine. (wasn't the gun-merchant I really wanted, but her was good enough to keep.)

If that doesn't do it, try adding Avali decorative stuff. (tables, cushions, shelves, etc, ...)

Cool. And I even downloaded a mod that added in more kinds of colony deeds so I can have a Avali themed deed to fit the room.

The Avalli storage items don't have the merchant tag for some reason. So if you want a merchant using only Avali furniture you are going to need a desk or table in addition to the storage items.
I personally think a desk and a hanging storage looks the best even if it isn't the most resource or space-efficient.

I know this is an old thread but it's also the first google result in looking for furniture for Avali merhcants so I thought I would leave this comment here in case someone else comes by with the same question.
