The Last Stand Update
With the new update now live, nearly all voicelines suffer from a cooldown which prevents players from quickly using them. Though this deals with the issue of being able to actively spam annoying lines such as Screams and laughs, it also cripples the players who actually used the vocalizer to communicate relevant informations during a match, and being able to do so without delay allowed for them to keep up with the game's often hectic pace.

On a more subjective note, the idea of having to wait several seconds between each line simply takes away the freedom and beauty of being able to use our favourite character's quotes to breathe even more humor and life into the game through sentence mixing etc...

Does anyone know if future updates for this mod or other vocalizers could potentially get rid of or atleast reduce this cooldown to some extent?

Hard to say. I have to go through all the talker and see what can be used now. A lots of work!

Hearing all special infected will be added in the next major version of my vocalizer, as well as jockey, charger and spitter callouts.

Alright, thanks for the work that you do. Hopefully the devs iron out some of the issues with the talker or at least don't make it any worse.

So are the voice line cool downs here to stay or what? I'd be pretty bummed if Nick couldn't let Ellis know he needs his mom's sh*thole. :/

It's not that simple and not every line has a cooldown...

For the vocalizer most problematic lines are those that block the talking for some time after using them. For example, if you use "Vomited" now, it will block the talking for 10 seconds, which means you won't be able to use almost any line for 10 seconds. Some other lines have a cooldown on them which means you won't be able to spam them (consecutively use them without pause), but you'll be able to use some other line immediately after (they won't block the talking). It's all defined in the game's talker...

Regarding Nick's line "Mom's car", it still works.

They already did and it'll be available for using in the new version of my vocalizer. I'm still working on it...
