i can see what you mean, but there's still a more distinct style to this hat that sets it apart. the hong kong cone is more of a reference to the hats worn by farmers and common folk in areas like china and japan where this hat is more compaired to something more worn exclusively by warriors and the mercenaries in those regions to set them apart. granted i like both styles but you are entitled to your opinion.
