Strange lagging bug and 700 MB jump
I do not know if I am the only one, but I do have a strange behaviour on LSM, if I reach a certain amount of building assets (seems also related to each category somehow).
I use default settings with texture and mesh sharing, game runs on PC with 4770 I7 and 32 GB RAM, 8 GB Radeon RX 580.

E.g. Between one subscribed asset to the other (buliding only, neither props, nor trees nor vehicles), LSM makes a "jump" of 700 MB more than before in between theme properties and ingame, so at the very end.
There is no error message shown, game starts as usual.
But in this case I do have a game lagging any few seconds (FPS 0 for less than one second - remaining FPS stable as usual for approx. 7 to 15 seconds)

If I unsubscribe to the new bulilding asset, the above shown problem is gone. Sometimes I may add 2 further buildings of the same section without having this problem. Or cut out an old one and add 4 new ones.
Seems not to be RAM related, because adding vehicles, props or trees do not cause any issue, even if used RAM is much more than before.

I had this bug starting with 15.8 GB RAM in use ("jumped" that time to 16.5 GB), now using 20.3 GB RAM (+- same amount of buildings (skipped prefab of some modder pack assets i do not use, unsub of building assets from 2015 and 2016, just added vehicles, props and trees) and just have this issue today when LSM makes a "jump" to shown 21 GB after subscribing to one or two further buliding assets...

LSM does its work while the 'Assets Loader' section is updating on the loading screen. After all custom assets are loaded, LSM does mostly nothing. You can check custom-asset-related memory usage at this point.

Later, between 'Properties' and 'InGame', the base game sets up the city. That is quite unoptimized and uses lots of RAM if your city is large. Most importantly, it does not allow screen refreshing, so you'll see a sudden bump when it is over.

For some people who push their computer too hard, the observed pause may take 10 minutes or more. But the computer is not really pausing, it's setting up the city.

I don't know what causes the connection with buildings you are seeing. Anything custom asset related should show up very rapidly after custom assets are loaded. Also, if you repeat the same steps, starting from the desktop, you should see pretty much the same memory usage every time. Not exactly the same but pretty much the same.

It is worth checking if you have any Exceptions or Errors in your output_log.txt. Those might explain the differences between loads.

Thanks for answer. Well, there is no error shown. I have no clue, what causes this issue. I don't wanna say that LSM is the reason for it, but whenever I am at this point, I see this strange memory jump. I can add trees, vehicles and probs without any limit, just buildings makes it happens. I can also avoid this strange bug by skipping some prefab buildings, even if the skipped ones do not use much memory. As far as I can tell, it's more a question of total buildings amount, not regarding memory.

So it seems that Ambient Sounds Tuner 2.0 was the problem. I was able to subscribe to several other buildings without this "jump" , after unsubscribing to Ambient Sounds Tuner 2.0
