Prevents DLC's content/assets to load on Origin version
I know that using Steam Workshop mods on EA Origin version is technically not supported, but just wanted to leave this here to anyone that find similar issue in the future.

On Origin the game works as a full package, so when you buy some DLC, it just unlocks something that was already downloaded.

I've just got some DLC's and when loading an existing or starting a new map with "all unlocked", most of the DLC's content / assets (like Taxi's from After Dark) aren't present / available.

After some debugging I found out that this mod is the cause.

I don't know exactly why, I've tried all the possible configurations on the mod but nothing worked, as soon as I disable it and load my existent map or a new one, I can see the content.

If anyone have any idea let me know.

Steam works in exactly the same way but the code that deals with DLCs is of course not the same for Steam and Origin. This mod, being a Steam mod, uses Steam-specific methods to deal with DLCs, just like the Cities Steam version does.

So, by using this mod you are replacing Origin code by Steam code and it is not going to work. Currently I don't see how to fix something like that.

In an ideal world, the Cities platform library (by game developers) would hide the differences between Origin and Steam, and mod developers could write platform-independent code. But that is maybe not going to happen.

Yeah, I figured it was something like that.

I wish I hadn't purchased DLC's on Origin so I could just migrate to Steam version.

Oh well, not a biggie, I don't use lots of mods and assets so my loading times (as the game is installed on a SSD) is ok.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, have a great new year!
