Orange numbers (RAM almost running out)
I currently have 16GB physical RAM, and 24GB virtual RAM set.

On the loading screen, I have 153 assets, and loading uses 6.7GB physical RAM and about 13.2GB virtual RAM.

However, both numbers are highlighted in orange (= 'RAM almost running out'). Should I be worried?

Or am I just being paranoid, because the software writes in orange way less than when it is truly running out?

I monitored my computer using Task manager during load, and it uses 10GB out of 16GB.

For 16 GB physical RAM, the threshold for orange color is 13.4 GB virtual memory usage. It is not much to worry about yet.

When your virtual memory usage reaches 16 GB, your computer begins to use the page file for game content. At that point the color turns red.

You probably have some background processes running. The game is only getting 6.7 GB from the operating system, typically it gets more.

Thanks a lot!

So I guess the bottom number is more important then? I should just make sure it stays under 16GB?

As a simple rule of thumb, virtual memory usage (the larger number) should not exceed your RAM capacity, at least not by much. In your case, 17-18 should be pretty safe. Some players go much higher, but there are two consequences in doing that: loading becomes much slower, and the game begins to crash at some point.
