V_Model Issues DOI Only
Hi I was wondering if I could get some help resolving this strange v_model issue I'm having with the DOI SWEPS specifically. As of right now, I'm experiencing a strange issue where the v_model is having strange positioning issues and that I am currently unable to see the SWEP. I can still see the w_model and if I freeze the v_model position I can see the model being held in hand, further testing has also shown that I can see the animations from the v_model if its frozen. I began experiencing this issue when I attempted to resolve a v_model issue that I was experiencing with a couple of SWEPs from the DOI pack; specifically, the Springfield and new flamethrower swep were giving me similar issues. To attempt to resolve this I attempted to closer inspect the mount.cfg file to see if I had incorrect syntax regarding the mount points, and I had found that I had an insww2 mount still despite owning Day of Infamy. So, I decided to remove this mount point in the cfg file and then I began experiencing these issues. The cfg setup guide that's linked doesn't make it too clear if its needed still as one of the later images seem to indicate that the ins2 and doi mounts are all that's really needed. I apologize for the bad formatting as I'm not entirely used to Steam forums/discussion, and I appreciate any help regarding resolving this issue.

Summary: Got weird v_model issues, attempted to remove obsolete mount from cfg, got bigger v_model issues.

Opt out of DOI Beta and make a backup of old files.

by making a back up the 'old files' you mean copy the current non beta version of this directory before it updates officially? C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dayofinfamy\doi

because if so, thats what i did just now, i not please correct me and ill get on it soon as possible.

I tend to keep only weapon models(+dependencies) extracted from DOIs .vpks but feel free to do whatever suits you the best.

Thanks for the help and sorry for the late reply, I just get back from work now. I extracted the models from the .vpk to the DOI folder and everything runs well. I know that the weapons folder had nothing in it, but I had assumed that it was that way intentionally like most source games because most of them have their files in archives. I guess if things go wrong in the future I should just manually extract the models, I just figured I already had them due to being able to see the frozen v_model.

Err scratch that, forgot to switch back to the beta branch and I started getting the same v_model glitch again. I'll just stick to the normal branch for now, but I just thought that I update my situation.

what is this ww2mod ??? what game is that you need to mount?

I have this issue where the hands "t pose" (i dont have a better description.) and the gun disappears or floats in the air. Also some gun models are missing. Only happens with DOI weapons.
