Bulk Dry Stores Not Making Jerky(Figured Out Why)
About a week ago my Bulk Dry Stores stopped making jerky. It would consume oil & sparkpowder, but gave nothing in return. I tried reinstalling my mod multiple times breaking & remaking the Bulk Dry Stores, everything I could think of.

Then a friend of mine on the same server told me his was working fine, So I tried breaking & replacing it one more time & suddenly it worked. Not knowing exactly why it worked that time I left it alone & figured all was fine. That is until today...

Suddenly my Bulk Dry Stores stopped making jerky again, so I did some extensive testing & I finally figured it out! If you have stacks of jerky placed in front of/before the meat needed to make it, sparkpowder & oil will be consumed, but no jerky will be made. If you move the stacks of jerky behind/after the meat required to make them, jerky production works as normal.

Now that I figured this out everything is working perfectly fine as long as I make sure things are in the correct order in the Bulk Dry Stores, but I figured I'd post this here both to see if a fix could be found for this, & to help prevent others from the potential headache of trying to figure out why their Bulk Dry Stores sometimes don't make jerky.

Not sure if it's related or not, but I'm also using your AB stack mod:

I think if you have your jerky in 1 folder, and the meat in another, it sometimes works.
I noticed this today

Strange, can anyone help me test if this happens on other servers too?

Well, since no one else has chimed in yet I decided to do some more tests to make sure it wasn't just my server.

I tried the same test on single player with no mods installed but this one & your stack mod, & got the same results. Cooked 12 of each type of jerky, then moved both stacks of jerky in front of the meat needed to make it. The Bulk Dry Stores continued to use spark powder & oil but the jerky stacks remained at 12 each.

Apparently I made a friend too(lol):

Would a re-cook using the new Devkit version help at all?

Good to hear! I'm glad I could help track this down. Everyone's been really enjoying this mod on my server. :)

Just wanted to say thanks to @EnragedN3wb for taking the time to make this post. I've been using BC since last year and rarely have issues. My Dry Stores stopped producing jerky a couple of days ago yet kept eating up the sparkpowder and oil. Been driving me crazy... uninstalled/reinstalled/re-crafted etc., but no joy. Read this post, changed the order of the meat/jerky/oil/sparkpowder and presto, jerky production recommenced right away. Thanks!:steamhappy:

Cooker never did jerky. Try Dry Stores

Dry stores has never worked out for me. Ever since I installed the mod. at first I had stacks of cooked meat, and I added loads of sparkpower and oil and it never produced anything. It says to add that, did that too. Then I removed almost all the stuff, leaving very little of each, and still no jerky. Something is definately wrong, so I have resolved to re-using the preserving bin.
Any ideas?

Delete the mod from server host, de-♥♥♥ the mod, delete the mod from your steam folder.
re-♥♥♥ the mod again, an copy the files to your server. This helped us out a lot.

We are using StacksOnly, the bulk cooker works like a charme (though I haven't tested all recipes yet) the dry store doesn't, even with correct order in line. Would be nice, to solve that, because we don't want to lose all our ress. thx
