Maybe more trade goods (like oil, olives, exotic fruits, exotic animals, sulphur...)
Really? I was rather pleased with the textures. To each their own, I suppose. In any case the graphics are shamelessly pilfered from Typus Orbis Terrarum. I don't preclude the possibility of changing them someday, but it is unlikely to happen soon. Texture editing really isn't my strong suit, and I'd likely end up making it much worse.
I was already toying with the idea of including more colonial regions and/or merging in one of the existing mods. I'd have to obtain permission from the authors as well, but I may look into this in the near future.
Unfortunately, I will not be adding any new trade goods. I love the concept, but I've yet to see it implemented where it didn't obviously stand out as a mod addition and look somewhat tacky. Additionally, to do it well, it would require a frankly obscene amount of research and tedious file editing, several times more than everything already done combined. Sorry to disappoint.
[edited] A compatibility patch is now available on the Paradox Forums
Thank you very much for sharing your suggestions, it really helps me to know what people are looking for.
The mod I used to use for that currently has ~7,026 subscribers, so I don't think I would be alone with this.
"but I may look into this in the near future."
ok, cool
"A compatibility patch is now available on the Paradox Forums"
I don't use the Forums nevermind even know how to navigate them to find the patch.
"Thank you very much for sharing your suggestions"
Thanks for taking a look at them.
In case you want more:
The province of Arguin (Mauretania) ist inaccurate the way it's shown in the game - it would be more accurate if it would be smaller on one hand (only including Cap Blanc), and on the other hand maybe even go around Golfe d'Arguin / Arguin Bay.
Which mod is that, may I ask?
Steam has some rule or another where if one uploads too many things in a short period, one can be banned. As such, I became concerned that I couldn't host too many compatibility patches here. If people can't access it, though, that sort of defeats the point. I'll see what I can do.
I did want more, thanks. Africa is still as vanilla, unfortunately, and with the upcoming Paradox changes I wasn't going to spend much time on it, but I have no objections redrawing one province in the next update.
TBARW EXTRA: Darker water
" I'll see what I can do."
thx
Texture modding really isn't my thing, I'm afraid. I toyed around with it for a while, but it will take a better texture modder than I to make it work. Perhaps you can asked for a Typus Orbis Terrarum compatibility patch? If it is compatible with Bizarcasm's map, then I can easily make it work with Beyond Typus.
Beyond Typus More Building Plots now up on Steam, sorry it took me so long.

Oh, I like the idea, at least until HR does the middle east for Beyond the Pale.
I'll ask, thanks for the suggestion.
(Edited)
WeBel, the creator, refused, so unfortunately this will not be possible.
I'm fond of Rosetta myself, and I had considered asking the author to allow me to use it, but you are quite correct that the work involved would probably not be trivial.
The way Rosetta works (it is actually quite clever) makes it much easier, and much harder, to merge than one would expect. The first problem, of course, is that the ~300 new provinces, right next to the old ones, would not have these localised names. The next problem, HR has moved around & renamed many vanilla provinces, which is why his mod is so good, but applying Rosetta would revert many of the names back to vanilla, which in my opinion would be worse than nothing as it wouldn't simply choose the vanilla name, but would display this name for a province in entirely the wrong place.
To do it well, I'd need to go practically line by line through all European provinces to compare and correct. For Britain, France, Germany & Scandinavia, I may be up for that, but once we approach the Mediterranean, go east of the Oder, or pass the Alps/Pyrenees... Well I'd be having to look up pretty much everything, which would make the whole project quite the slog. After that, I'd have to add, in Rosetta's events, all of the new provinces.
Honestly, at this point, it is a matter of priorities, which is why I so appreciate suggestions... I'd like to do it all, but I just don't have the time. Some things could make a major improvement and take a couple hours, others would take weeks and only a small handful of people would even notice.
I will keep the idea in mind, though. If nothing else, I was already planning on adding a few more localised names for the areas I do know.
The amount of work you had to go through to make those two mod work together must have been tremendous. Kudos for you for that :)
As with most other graphics mods, it will only work if there is a Typus Orbis Terrarum compatiblity patch, which I could not find for GFX Overhaul. Texture editing really goes above my head, so I'm afraid there isn't anything I can do, unless you are just looking for the UI changes in GFX Overhaul? In which case I could probably make that work. As far as Neprut's version, I couldn't find it anywhere, but I assume it has the same issue.
Thanks for the compliment, but all the credit really goes to HR & Bizarcasm. I didn't really do anything special.
