[SOLVED] Stuttering issue
I uploaded a video showing the stuttering issue I mentioned in that thread. Hopefully the slow framerates from running FRAPS won't make it too hard to see where the problem lies. (It's still uploading at the time of this post, so it might not be ready when you click on it).

Edit: If you're having this issue, check to see if you're playing in windowed mode. Switching to full screen fixed the problem.

Which version are you using? I assume 33.14.
Also is this 32/64/compatibility mode?

64-bit, whichever is the latest stable build (not IWBUMS).

Edit: I can try it with an IWBUMS build if you need me to. I don't have an actual game running right now, so I've just been running tests in a custom sandbox.

It's currently the same build as far as I know right now. I'll have to have a look at this again myself I have a newer build I've written but not even played it yet to test so I will try it soon and I'll load up your version of the mod too. I don't remember this happening to me but I haven't played since I released it.

I'm having trouble reproducing it and I cannot run 64bit right now for some reason.
Can you try running it in 32bit for me and see if there is any change. I doubt there would be.

The closest thing I got to what you are experiencing was when I clicked to change direction by maybe 75degrees or more then sometimes they would step back on themselves as they re-navigated the games grid navigation. But not what you have.

No, 32-bit didn't make a difference.

I keep looking at our video I cannot see your cursor but I can only assume you are clicking to move close to the original destination am I correct?

I just hopped in and tried to get a better feel for how I'm moving. Moving from the front door to the mailbox in a straight line, I clicked between the two multiple times. Each time I clicked, the character did that stutter. It seems to be any time I start to move before the previous move has finished. The direction I'm moving doesn't seem to matter.

Hmm It sounds like the meatbag is pinging off of the last grid it was at (or maybe the closest) and is taking a moment longer than normal to path find. The mod uses the same pathfinding and movement method that is already in the game. All the mod does is call it up as and when it's needed (in this case on left click instead of from the contextual RMB menu) in the same fashion as the right click contextual menu does.
Can you try replicating your actions with just the right click (vanilla) option? Does it continue to happen?
Also can I get your machine specs?
I get a sense that it's a performance issue.

It'll be a little while before I can get back in the game, but I'll let you know as soon as I can today.

Hmm that seems to outweigh my machine so not likely a performance issue.
I await your test.
Thank you.

I found the issue! I was playing in windowed mode. I tried it out in fullscreen, and it worked fine.

Edit: Before I discovered the problem, I tested the right-click, and it was fine. I also deleted my keybindings in case something I changed was the issue. But in the end, it was the windowed mode.

I might bring this up with the devs as a bug. It is strange.
Edit: Mark this solved in the title if you don't mind.
