Armor-ignoring ranged weapons don't ignore armor?
I noticed there are several items with the description "armor level doesn't matter". For the shock trap type items (both lethal and non-lethal) that you place on doors, this seems to be correct, but ranged weaponry with this description still cannot be aimed at enemies whose armor is higher than your "native AP" level.

It's like the "armor piercing" code only checks the moment the damage is being dealt, but it fails to take into account the fact that the game won't even let you execute an attack on an enemy whose armor level exceeds your piercing level. (and these armor-ignoring weapons don't seem to affect that piercing level)

That sounds to me like a mod conflict - I can KO/kill OMNI Protectors (8 armor) just fine with armor-ignore guns. Any other mods besides this one that add/change items?

Including mods involving agents whose loadout has items that don't appear in the base game, that'd be about a dozen.

I'd gladly look into it, but unfortunately my usual way of isolating the conflict, starting a quick game on beginner, see if the problem arises, change the mod loadout and try again, is not viable when it can take several hours of gameplay before the RNG dumps one of those specific weapons into the nanofabricator, I happen to have the funds to afford it AND armored enemies are common.

I suppose there's no quick and easy way (i.e a cheat code) that either lets me summon such an item/let my agent start with it and gives guards armor from the get-go?
