At Berkley, especially during Race for the Cure, I hit a wall with decking. The IC two-shot my persona, dump shock, try again...but the bridge at the start of the Matrix did not reset.
I don't see a way to get past the entrance, since there's no path to the bridge controls. My persona just sits longingly across the gap from them.
The problem with loaned gear disappearing is unfortunately a bug in the game engine; it happens in the main Hong Kong game as well, and isn't something I can fix in my mod. There are several reports to HBS about this, so fingers crossed that Harebrained Schemes will be able to fix this in a future game patch. (Thanks for bringing this up, though, I'll add it to the list of known issues.)
Can you elaborate on Persi's upgraded drones? It's a little hard to track her level now that the crew advancement UI is disabled. If you recruit her in one of the first two missions, she will only have a Doberman drone. For the rest of the missions up to and including the train job, she has a Steel Lynx and a RoboDoc. (Like the other companions, her stats upgrade more frequently than her equipment does.) In the final missions, she upgrades the RoboDoc to a Sundowner and then the Lynx to a Guardian. Let me know if you were seeing something different or referring to something else about her drones. Thanks!
Also not sure if this is a bug but was Sable's weapon not meant to get upgrades? Its damage was Strength + 2 for most of the game which quickly became outdated. I tried buying him a better one but HK eats follower weapons after a run.
Thanks for the reminder about the sword. The original idea was for you to get choices between upgrading Sable's sword or his deck as the character leveled up. However, since I needed to take out the crew advancement system, currently he only receives deck upgrades. Until crew advancement is fixed, I'll change this so he receives small upgrades to the sword as well.
no cheat codes enabled - hell, I didn't even know there were codes for the game

I've investigated this, and traced the problem to a save game bug. The game autosaves when you go down the stairs; if you load this autosave, it'll be in a bad state and not able to go back down the stairs again. (Unfortunately, the Hong Kong game engine has a few saved game bugs like this that happen unexpectedly.)
I think there are three ways for you to get around this problem:
1. If you have any manual saved games on that level before going down the stairs for the first time, you can load them, and then proceed normally. Saving and loading are fine, but don't load an autosave.
2. You can restart the level and play through it again, once again not loading any autosaves.
3. Wait for me to release my next update (0.5.6, probably later tonight). I'll remove the autosave to avoid the problem. Unfortunately, this will also require restarting the level.
Thanks again for the report and taking the time to upload those files, I really appreciate it!
here you go.. sorry, didn't have time during the week to get you this

awesome cool
On the return to Berkeley, entering the middle building, the transition to exit upstairs no longer exists. Exitting by the ground floor triggers the ambush, but there's nothing else I can do in the area.
Is this a bug, or am I just missing something?
