Now I will go and listen to HongKong-Combat-Kowloon-Int2 20 000 times on repeat.
I recently finished the Saga, and just started Caldecott Caper, and I just wanted to say how much I love your campaigns. This all must have been so much work, and you provide it for all of us to enjoy for free in the fantastic game Harebrained developed for us. I am very grateful, I am absolutely entranced with the story, and how I can experience one big event as it develops through the years, through eyes of multiple protagonists. You deserve an award of some sort.
I have one plea for you: I am currently playing the Caper with your music replacer, even though you don't recommend it. Could you please somehow provide the tracks so I can listen to them outside the game? I am absolutely in love with so many of your replacement tracks. I tried to extract the resS file with Audacity as some users suggested but keep getting an error. I tried other ways, and I just can't work my way to extracting the tracks :(
real drugs in it. It even has well-written romantic options that unfold through the game, something that original campaigns lack. The story was enjoyable, even though there were no consistent antagonists throughout the game. The party characters were well done as well. The only downside is the computer with the Shadowland Forum which was absent, but that's not a dealbreaker. I guess nobody read those anyway except me who practically reads everything. This moc is much more enjoyable than many modern AAA titles. Good job! I'm now preparing myself for the final chapter. I assume this one is gonna be even better since it's your last creation. After "Hong Kong," I still want to stay in this universe as long as I can. And you, definitely deserve
the recognition.
Great mod so far!
Thank you for this lovley written piece of art!
I realy enjoyed it!
Amazing storry and design!
Congrats!
@cirion: Any chance you'd ever make a fourth chapter? Patreon/Kickstarter?
@Mansku: Glad you liked it! IIRC the game can slow down if you reload a save in the hub and visit the disco. That's an engine-related issue and I don't think I can solve it without removing the disco entirely.
@spaceninja80: Merry Belated Christmas! For as much as I complain, the engine is pretty moddable: HBS released the same tools they used to build their own campaigns, and other models have figured out how to change a lot of stuff. I'm so pleased that this felt professional to you, I spent a lot of time polishing it!
@Taliensin: Thanks for the note, congrats on a successful run!
@teh_wamburger: I'm glad that you've been digging the trilogy. Keep on running!
@Lan: Aw, I appreciate your words! I love the Shadowrun setting, it's sci-fi but very connected to present concerns.
@hi3r0ph4nt: Glad you found the solution!
@Diamond Encrusted Toaster: Hey, thanks! This was my first time writing a romance, and I'm really glad that you enjoyed it.
@bertpeal: I'm glad you liked the story, it was fun to write!
@mikusama: Congrats on finishing the campaign! I'm not working on anything at the moment, but I'll let folks know if and when I have something to announce.
@Xray: Haha, it's always nice to meet a fan of Pepsi!
@DarkSpiral: I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested in the dev commentary, so I'm glad to hear that you found it interesting! And yeah, I learned a ton while working on these campaigns. Maps were always the hardest thing for me, but I found better ways to cope over time.
@Rockanhe: Might I interest you in a shot of Memory-B-Gone, the latest wetware skillsoft from our friends at Shiawase Biotech?
And Merry Christmas.
The characters, the narrative, the everything, fucking phenomenal, and even from one playthrough I can tell the story could have easily diverged into a few different branches based on choices, and that is even more terrifying in that this even has replay value.
Y'all did a beyond amazing job.
I liked the references here and there, the intrigue...
Also these arc catches well shadowrun spirit (itself derived from science fiction questionnings and worries comming with modernities and progress regarding society, weaponry ... Plus cool action scenes). And ocassions to do RP.
So rich with a lot of ideas... Also liked your writting style (both narrative and characters (except Claude one maybe, and in the team i didn't like Sand much but he's well written noneless). But it's no complain. Everything was amazing.
You even took care to not show full branch of progression to not spoil the "it's not finished yet + betrayal in the second third of the story. Nice touch.
And i really felt my runner going in a rushed vendetta to save (or avenge) Perci
Time for me to test Calfree now. Thanks for your great job. I hope you get recognition, you deserve it.
Good writing, interesting characters and pretty damn meaty!
There's nothing made by fans like this campaign wise.
This was as much, if not more, fun than some of the official campaigns. I absolutely loved your dev comments, too. It was fascinating not just to see how your skills at level design and writing evolved between the beginning of Antumbra and this UGC, and even moreso to actually have your personal thoughts on the matter.
Cheers! I'm off to CalFree in Chains!
It was pretty hard for a man of my age and health irl, but it was so good a story, I couldn't bring myself to stop....lol
Granted, I didn't see absolutely everything you put in but I did see most of it and the attention to detail was absolutely incredible. Dare I say, it was an even better story than he original 3 story arcs from the official games.Keep up the great work with your team, and I promise as long as I am alive and high kicking, I will be waiting with intense anticipation for release date.
@TW-Luna: Great to see you again! I'm glad you felt so strongly motivated in that scene. There's no one "right way" to do this, and that's a very powerful statement from your character!
@Obama Sin Laden: Woot, glad you dug your run! I had a great time writing these companions, it's good to hear you enjoyed meeting them. It was my first time writing a romance, and it's a relief to see folks like you enjoying it. Cheers!
@종이 잭: Thank you for playing and for the kind words, congratulations on completing the trilogy!
@bertpeal: I see you are a man of wealth and taste! Dang, that's an amazing marathon run through the campaign, way to go chummer!
@The Hogfather: Dorbi is definitely a survivor!
@Batcat: I'm glad you enjoyed it, and am pleased that it compared well with the official campaign!
@miskers: Oh man, I learned so much from making Antumbra Saga, you're definitely seeing the improvements here. It's wild that you played these before the official campaign, you have a lot to look forward to!
@tcpipnut: I love reading books, thanks for your kind words!
@Entaris: Thanks for the note! Unfortunately the item duplication bug is an engine problem that I can't work around in the mod, hopefully it isn't too annoying.
If CalFree in Chains and the Antumbra Saga are as good as this (haven't played them yet), I'll be bloody well impressed.
Not so much for me though.
that's also what I do
she's got serious firepower
you need to use walls to try to force your enemies to spend their AP running towards you, and pick them one by one
the real difficulty starts underground :
you have limited cover against the 1st group, but Rafik spells are very useful and you should bait the dwarfs come at you (shoot at them or aim at an explosive barrel
next, you can avoid the extra nuyen if you don't want to fight the critters.
but you can use the middle wall section to make them run, or better summon the eart elemental to strike hard and be used to soak up damage
the 2nd dwarf group can be picked up by using walls and the water elemental to heal/buff you.
be careful when you meet Dorbu, you MC will likely by in the open and will receive a barrage of fire at the start of the battle, then hunker down and use Dorbi magical powers from a major leyline
to neutralize the enemy sniper, simply have a member of your team run towards it (while in cover), to force it to reposition
