@ebbpp: Thank you, I appreciate the detailed write-up! Lots of good notes here - I won't be able to fix all of them, but wanted to give you the status on each.
1. Drones in the basement: Good catch, thanks. I'll add a fix for the next patch.
2. Blank keycard: This is intentional. You only have fingerprints for Cameron Ueda, so you can only place his identity on the card. However, you can separately acquire a card from Taylor Minami.
3. Fight with turrets and soldiers while exiting the building: This looks strange, but I don't think I'll be able to improve it without adding worse bugs. It's been a while since I've looked at it, though, so I might attempt another fix later.
4. Retrieving the unicorn horn and nanohive: I haven't been able to reproduce the problem. Are you sure you didn't pick up the nanohive from one of the other stalls? You are attacked soon after picking it up, so you might not have noticed the message. If you run into this again, can you please check your PDA and let me know the status of your goals ("Find a Black Unicorn Horn", "Find a Nanohive", and "Return to Halferville") as well as the Mission Items ("Nanohive" and "Black Unicorn Horn").
5. Missing dialogue lines. This is intentional, but something I should improve. You can only talk with team members a certain number of times between missions. Options that disappear will still be available after the next mission completes. But this is probably confusing, I'll check to see if there's a better way to show the options.
6. Fight on the ship. A few other people have mentioned that this situation is confusing, I still need to add some more dialogue to clarify the fight.
7. Mines. Yes, they're currently just in the Sable mission. I thought it was annoying to have them in too many places.
8. Black IC usually only appear in corporate systems, like Shiawase, and only if you set off the Matrix alarm. If you are a careful decker, you will not see them. (Hopefully a good thing!)
9. Extra loot from your team. This is a bug in the Shadowrun engine, unfortunately I can't fix it.
10. Kora's Matrix skills. Kora has high Decking, but no ESP Control, so she isn't able to use the ESPs like Firewall.
11. Dragon. This is kind of an easter egg for players who finished Antumbra Saga. It's intended to be mysterious.
12. Allied Aim not working. Thanks for the note - I haven't been able to reproduce, but I'll add it to the list. (EDIT: More details on this: Have you tried casting it on yourself? It's a buffing power, similar to a totem, not a spell you cast directly on an ally.)
13. Favor system. High favor makes your team mates more friendly and keeps them from leaving, but does not provide additional benefits. It's more for fun than for power.
Thanks again for the reports, I appreciate you taking the time to write them up!
8. Well, Black ICs are just an example. I've played on normal, so yes probably it gets harder on hard setting, but in general where regular fight ware challenging the matrix wasn't. I don't know, on vanilla there ware some turn limits, it was easier to spring the alarm, just my feeling.
10. I understand, however it seems it's another engine glitch, as description is only saying ESP Controls enhances programs straight and health, not to mention in such case programs shouldn't be equipable, ohh well. Btw. Kora could use actual new legs after operation, the character figure is updated with cyberwere add-ons, team should also, but I guess it's just an other engine glitch. Speaking off visual things, Persi should lie on hospital bad not on the floor, but again I guess it's engine glitch.
12. Well, I have used on caster exactly on that orc guy, and it didn't affect any of the allies, quite sad, upgraded wild aim was quite fun.
Thank you for the replay and desire to continuing fixing this mod. Hoping that maybe there will be more such mods from you.
Anyway, the first run was with a troll close combat adept with a bunch of Chi casting skills, while the second was a troll whose only attack form was thrown weapons, and having a number of conjuring support spells ... haste. blur, armor etc.
Trolls are my race of choice, for pragmatic reasons, for most professions. Obviously not for heavy duty conjuring, due to their low charisma ceiling.
P.S. Shurikens are awsome when backed up by troll strength. Range of 15, and a hit knocks the target out of cover; this is just like a close combat build hitting in melee, except that you can stay well back and under cover while doing so.
This is a major bug for me at least. I can't get into the game at all. I'm playing the Extended Edition as it is the only version available on Steam right now.
I hope this gets fixed soon. I'd love to play this.
If I've misunderstood and you're able to play the built-in Hong Kong campaign but not The Caldecott Caper, please first follow the instructions at the link above to clear UGC and then re-subscribe to this campaign. If that doesn't work, please follow the steps above under "Advanced Reporting" and send me your debug log. Cheers!
I haven't found a proper fix for this yet, but I'll try a few other things. In the meantime, if anyone else runs into this, the easiest work-around is to clear out the basilisk and scorpyine in the southwest part of the cave.
Thanks once more for the bug report, I appreciate it!
-In the final fight (I had the all vs. all ending with ava distrusting me), after I killed ava and had to exit the building, I still had to kill the other force but couldnt do so in one turn, which was a problem since I could no longer go upstairs, nor activate the hemlock suppression with the drone I had stationed next to the terminal. So I got whiped out by the Hemlock.
Luckily I saved just after the fight began and worked around it by killing Ava last and getting out before the Hemlock killed me.
-Also, the hemlock suppression always used all remaining AP, which was a bit annoying.
It might be best to Improve Rafik's summoning as a lv3 earth spirit also require Spirit Summon 4 or create a unique earth talisman with a lowered Spirit Summon requirement for him to use.
