How to progress the best?
HI Guys

We have joined around now 3 weeks ago a Server with this Annunaki Mod. Since I have never heard or been on a Server with this Mod before, I had to make a lot of reading but still 1 thing remains, how to progress the best?

We have now finally a bigger base where all our Dinos are placed in. We do have some Badass Dinos but nothing more then that.

The strongest Dino is our normal Quetzal that can kill a prime alpha dodo but anything above that..well it takes just ages.

What will be the next step to take on prime alphas? We had over the weekend several drakes flying around (Poison and Fire) and 2 Wyverns.

A Badass Dino does not seem to have a chance against a Prime Alpha. I just tamed a Rock/Mountain Rex over the Weekend, but I don't wanna risk it.

Would a drake be the next thing to tame in order to compete with prime alphas? If so, how many Poison Darts with the Compound Bow does a lvl 600 Drake needs roughly? 50?100? 200?

Also do Badass Dinos give eggs or give birth if you have a Male and Female? Will a Badass Baby come out ?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I could not find anything related to my questions.

Cheers in Advance for the Help :) But having a small 101 as of how to progress would be cool. So we know what to tame next in order to tame alphas then ;)

The hardest part is starting out. You want to build on a cliff side where you only have to wall off one side and focus defenses in one direction. Because of you build on flat land you're asking for prime alphas to destroy you.

I usually start on a beach and find an elite dodo while gathering and crafting misc crap. The when able I passive tame a trike and go straight for doeds and beavers. I level up using wood and stone until I can get to metal. Then I passive tame an anky. As soon as I get enough tranqs I tame an elite dimorh. They don't require a saddle. Then I go and look for a poison argent. Usually level 250ish. Tame it with prime or kibble if your lucky enough to kill a black pygmy that early.

So in short
Elite dodo / dodo
Trike
Beaver / doed
Anky
Poison Argent / Raptors
-tame as necessary using raptors and argents.

Of course there is room for variation. I just gave you a brief summary of what I tell new people on my server. I usually give them a free dino, a flask, and some Armor to get them started though.
.what dino I give depends on what I have extra lowing around. This week it's rexs and spino that I don't use anymore.

Last week it was beavers.

Hi Keba

Thanks for the Feedback. But we have already some bigger Dinos and some Badass Dinos. We just wanna know what it takes to tame a Drake and / or kill then prime alphas or alphas.

What you wrote is something for people that just started playing ark or on a server, no offence.

I wanna tame a Poison Drake that flies around on the Center Map from our Server, and what it takes to kill alphas :)

Regards

Just use a poison argent with Upped speed. I keep one with about 200% speed laying around for qutzels. Also prime alphas can be killed by fire BA's, leveled alpha dinos, and of course giga and ubers. The trick is you need a really good saddle if you're not using an uber or giga and make sure you have 200k+ health and good damage with your uber.

When taming poison drakes make sure you take plenty if detox, boosters. Agility and health
They do crazy torpor per hit if they land a breath on you. My poison argent can fly circles around them and usually stay on its back though.

Thanks for the Information. I have yet to find a Poison Argy, searchef for one on the center map but they seem very rare, seen only a fire arg but never a frost or a poison.

Will keep an eye out for it.

Besides we have a very fast quetzal, the drake cannot keep up with my quetzal so I could do the same like you and run circles around it.

BTw, do you know the need for the baby badass dodorexes? They don't grow up and I can't seem any use for them at all.

they are just good base defense and looks. They're not supposed to grow up. They're just cute. They're actually pretty strong and have ranged attacks.

they give buffs as well cant account for random health on wilds but used parasaurs to test spawned at same lvl and without buff my raptor killed them in 3 or 4 hits with them it was only 1 to 2 hits.
