Throne of Nirn needs improvement
Alteration's Throne of Nirn is very choppy.

It adds an element of lag and changes the view/camera to look at the horizon. It also activates when it shouldn't (as far as I understand) it's not suppose to appear when just holding spells in your hands, but should appear when aiming or concentrating (e.g. charging/channeling).

I can work around most of this, but at some stages I am completely unable to prevent the pillar from displacing me into the air so that the enemy can see me more clearly (stealth fail) or pushing items, bodies and objects away from me when trying to look at the object (knockback applied when tower appears).

One of the things I have tried is to only hold spells in my hands when needed, which is tedious to do and very hard whilst in combat (I play with a 1-handed weapon and some spell). I cannot get rid of the spell in my left hand unless I go into the magic menu (P) or quick menu (Q) and manually deselect the spell.

My advice would be to allow the user to control when the tower should appear, either by jumping after 5 seconds or something. Or to only make the pillar appear after 5 seconds of charging/channeling the spell.

Also fixing the split second blank screen and camera view reset would be nice but it's not that hard to work around.

Is there a way to disable this spell until it's fixed?

Just respec out of it. I removed the perk years ago but people complained that I removed it and "you can just not use it if you don't like it" and made me put it back. Oh well.

True, but I can kind of relate to them. I like using it for keeping myself out of reach from melee units (im a mage) and to navigate terrain easily. It just has the tendency to screw you over when you don't expect it (shoving lydia off a cliff).

I was hoping to find some way to easily turn it on and off. but I might just avoid learning the skill in the long run.
