I'm tremendously impressed by the battles mod. The ability to play the last centiries of the Bronze Age is a fascination of mine but is also held back by the concern about it being nerfed by bad retention of dismissed scholarship - eg that the egyptian reliefs are an accurate representation of Hittite Troops rather than stylistic representations. The work of R H Beal and others should have put to bed the shieldless Hittite infantry and Chariots with no archers but these still persist. My other worry is is CA willing or even able to do the complete change of map and scale neccessary for such a game to work?
