can you remove north korea,and replace it with Independent state of Croatia which led by ante pavelic and tomislav II have important role in ww2 in balkans fronts?

Please make new nation as additional submod and show result of your work.
I will check a quality (should be made according of #valour mod standards) and new nation will be included into #valour.
Somebody else should do this job from now on.

I could give you advice on where to start, but I don't know anything about creating nations and such... However, I may have a basic plan that can be used. Keep in mind, there may require a bunch of research on this topic that will be required!

Also, any step can be (partially) skipped if there are certain units that are already in the game, like the M4 Sherman. And also, feel free to use the #valour stuff as well, because if it's already been made, you won't need to duplicate it or anything.


1. Create any weaponry (pistols, rifles, anti-tank rifles, etc.) that the nation used as infantry, as well as how they look in the inventory along with their ammo.

2. Create the infantry themselves. This may be one of the longest things to do since you need all the animations and such, and the same applies with #4. Make sure they have the correct gun mounted on them based on their ID. (I.E. a machine gunner = 'mgun')

3. Create audio files for the infantry to hear them speak (upon selecting them, idling, etc.). This may take some time to do if you are creating a nation that you don't understand how to speak their language. I recommend you do all of the files, but don't leave it up to me to determine how many files you need to do, just make sure there are enough.

4. Create any "Mech Units" (Armored cars, Tanks, Howitzers, etc.) the nation had used. Make sure the stats are featured for the unit as it will be used in multiplayer!

5. Create the unit stubs for the nation for different types of groups or units that will be spawned in the battlefield.

6. Create audio files for the mech units that feature a radio inside them (I.E. a halftrack). Again like #3, it's recommended to create all files, and at minimum to create the required files.

7. It's recommended that you make the skins for every climate (I.E. winter) to make it look authentic. I placed this at #7 because I don't think too much time should be spent on making skins right off the bat except for the default skin.


I believe that is how people may want to consider creating their own nations, and like I said, I never got to make one, nor do I know how to, but I have a feeling this step-by-step system may help people on how to start creating their own nation.

I don't know exactly how to #valour AI system works for multiplayer games, so someone may need to be contacted about how to set that up. Other than that, I think this "guide" should help you!

I'm also going to add right now, if I can get any information from anyone on how to make a nation, I might take the time to form Yugoslavia or maybe since people have been mentioning it, Czechoslovakia. I could almost do what I desire at that point.

Zlopetz is correct. I checked about Yugoslavian armor and weaponry, and they for sure were in for a long time, like I would say from 1941 to 1945.

Anyway, I'm still only researching a bunch of stuff about Yugoslavia, and I'm not really able to get enough time to be put into the 3D modelling, but I would be happy to test it when it ever comes out.

If anyone wants to contact me about making Yugoslavia for the mod, then I can collaborate with said person, or people for that matter. We could share data and see where it would be most accurate to be included for the mod, then I could get someone to start the 3D modelling, and more data exchanges, etc. I'm looking forward to seeing this occur!

EDIT: I started a discussion on the workshop discussions in the main community hub about adding Yugoslavia. Feel free to take the time to find it, just search Yugoslavia and it should come up.

I know that this is not a suggestion for a new nation but this comment was too long for me to put in the regular comment box at the mod's main page so, without further adieu, here it is. Hello Valour mod team, do you ever plan on expanding Italy past 1943? I admit I know nothing about modding or modeling but I can't imagine that it would be very difficult to reskin the French from 1944-1945 and make them Italians, and then build upon them later. I think that being able to give Italy a chance against factions with late war tanks (or even some early and mid war tanks) by adding American and British equipment that they were historically equipped with after Italy's surrender would expand the mod greatly. In case an example is needed as to why I believe Italy needs this expansion so much, I played as Italy in a 1939-1945 game against the Soviet Union, I was only playing for fun and was not expecting to win for exactly the reason that my defeat happened. I was initially doing very well with all 3 points captured in this 1v1 game, but then it happened. My opponent was smart and saved up for an Is-1. I lost that game as he/she covered the tank well with infantry which made it nearly impossible for me to destroy, I honestly just kept thinking to myself "I wish I had an M26 Pershing, or maybe a Sherman Firefly," both of these tanks Italy obtained after its surrender to Allied forces. I also believe that it would be really cool and add more options for unique scenarios if Italy were to be expanded. If you do not have any interest in doing this, I understand, and it is just a sugggestion, but you would make my day if you were to do this, and I think other people in this community would greatly appreciate it too, I mean you guys did it for Poland and France so why not Italy? Great mod by the way.
