A suggestion for Medieval mode guns of exposlive bullet and arrow types and for the other weird guns.
All teh guns explosive and otherwise need to have the Crusader's Crossbow and Huntsman ammo stats, meaning 1 ammunition magazine size and low reserve ammo in comparison to the default non medieval stuff.

For some of the classes crossbows(Spy) and slingshots (Scout) would be splendid.

Hell make the Pistol crossbow a Scout item as well. Probably a mini Huntsma in function.

Anyway the Slingshot could be a weapon where charged headshots stun, duration depending on the charge ammount. Of course the best way to use this is with compelmentary melees, meaning not Sandman.

For the Heavy a primary could be a Ballista reffited to be carried by a mountant of a man(n). 1 ballista arrow and maybe the Crusader Crosbow reserve ammo ammount.

Soldier and Demo like I said, 1 magazine size and small ammo reserve for their medieval era Rocket Launcher and Grenade Launcher respectively. think Loose Cannon like but less damage no Double donks and 1 ammo in the mag.

Engie could have an balista thing for a sentry replacement. So level 1 a repeating balista, level 2 a faster repeating balista and a balista launcher combo for level 3.

Engie could also have a secondary thing to use, maybe the Wingstick? That reminds me.

There is a item for the Scout in the Workshop that are throwing knives. It was for the Scout mannequin set.

That could be useful to have.

Pyro and Medic could have some Magic staff replacements, Staff of healing for the Medic anyone?

Tehre mught be flitlock/wheatlock/early firearms as well for mediveval mode, which is rather good.

For Engie, instead of Wrangler, we have a wrench made of bone. Or something else, idk.

Also, I am of the opinion that the Scout could benefit from Bladed stuff. And before anyone says Three Rune Blade is in the game. You have to pray to the RNG gods to get it. I think that the Three Rune Blade would be a good standalone weapon for the Scout.

For my Automated Repeating Balista suggestion for the Engie, we could also have a mini ARB version, with the Ash Williams Gauntlet as the Gunslinger like sort of reskin.

Actually concerning Engie, how about this.

One of or all of the Engie melees in this colection is sort of an reskin of the stock and some other wreches/gunslinger, with a twist!

Like I mentioned it in this thread, the Medieval mode sentries could be Balistas and such.

Now what I suggest is that like how I sugested that guns are 1 in the magazine and low reserve ammo when in medieval mode the Engie melee is kind of like that.

Normal modes, Sentry and minisentry, medieval mode, Automated Repeating Balista with a Cannon when level 3 and a mini ARB for the gunslinger reskin.

I suggested what amounts to a single ammo low reserve retro futuristic Medieval period rocket Launcher and Grenade and Sticky Bomb Launcher.

In China they had gunpowder.. so could use one of those rockets they had... lobbed rocket that is indirectly fired... maybe a catapult.. with flaming lobbed ammo for pyro and Soldier? they carry it on the shoulders and all..
But what about Medieval Sentries? That is where it would be harder..

Team fortress 2 has haunted wepaons and Halloween modes with spells, so it is not far fetched that a bit of magic is used as well.


That said, The Medieval sentries would be Engi's Automated Repeating Balistas. Also Medieval Europe had acess to gunpowder, nad things liek the Arquebuss and the Handgunne.

basically single shot low ammo reserve rifles. So do that for Medival mode to make it intersting.
What about maps with destructible enviroment, like gates, and drawbridges? everyone with these mostly one shot weapons shooting at the strong chains... So we would need some defense for the attackers... What about Pyro be a mage? And cauldrons of tar be a defense weapon you can activate with a melee hit? Tar spills over causing a scene where the enemy cant advance from that side for a while.. Causing them to use the Ladders at their post to escort their team with the ladder to put up on the walls.. Maybe give Engineer a sentry that is a revolving ballista.. That lobs these large bolts in groups over things and make small impact damage explosions? just brainstorming atm.. Give scout a small bow and arrow, does less damage then Sniper's Bows but faster reload speed?

Well, we have Fire Staffs for the Pyro and the Staff of Healing for the Medic in this collection, so yeah magic staffs and Medieval style gun type weapons are a good thing.

Instead of Cauldrens of tar, have Heavy's with Balista primaries and cannon primaries.

And Arquebuss rifles and shotguns. And wheatlock pistols, basically musket pistols.

i also suggested a Automated repeating Balista for the Engi to replace the sentry in Medival mode and evne a Ash Willaims from Army of Darkness style Gauntlet as a reskin of the Gunslinger for mini Automated Repeating Balista replacements for mini sentries.

Hell, even a cannon for the engi as a replacement of sentries would be nice. Actually Level 3 with a cannon to replace the rockets is better.

Crossbows would be good for Spy and Scout, but they would need differences.. like Scout could have a Crossbow thats faster to pull back, while Spy has one that does more damage. For the Tar Cauldron idea, its for the map. Anyone can defend from the wall of course.. What about a map about all out war against two kingdoms? with five ways to destroy the enemy? With enemy bots on either side that go off and do their own thing, of course most of them are melee.. And attack enemy players, they have new robot units with this ordeal, calvary.. which do massive damage to players and other things, but with a trap weapon some players could set down, which pops up five pikes in a slanted degree aiming upwards, and at the players choice, like how Engineer does his builds.. These take time to set up cause it requires special animations for the classes to do their own Pike trap. How this new trap works is that it stays stationary and any calvary who come at you while your behind it, tosses the rider off. (mostly scouts) and the robot steed is punctured upon the pikes, which disables it. This pack should also give more shields and other one handed weaponry to the other classes.

ah, the tar is for smacking it with a melee to activate it, right?

And yes, scout gets speedy crossbwos while Spy gets powerful crossbows, but both crossbows get silent killer. And Then the aquebuss and wheatlock guns are a thing.

A medieval player destruction? Sounds pretty nice.

I idea things like this most of the time, Tar sticks to players of both sides meaning you CAN team kill.. One feature to this would be the war on the keeps. Demo would need some sort of explosive lobbing medieval stylized weapon of course, crossbow of some kind that shoots small barrels of highly flammable material to create explosions? What about giving each class their own shield and sword? Of course some sort of one shot guns would be added due to the chinese having their own fire arms back then, but they were a bit on the rare side since guns didnt get much fame until the 1800 somethings.. Give Demo small bombs he can throw of course like seen on that cosmetic. One weapon i had in mind would be giving scout some sort of hand axe, and a small buckler shield, which wouldnt really shield him from much, not to mention shields would add a new mechanic into the game where each shield has its own flaws and health. Buckler wouldnt last long nor protect much, due to its rather small size. Any larger shield for scout would probably slow him down a bit...

Loose Cannon exists, just make it single shot in Mediveal mode.
