Affected commercial demand
Hi emf,

I've been using your mod with great satisfaction because it adds just the amount of difficulty needed to get you to actually try improving your town.

However something strange happened with your customized ResidentAI that directly affects commercial demand. Around the year 2060, when my population hit 100k, commercial demand vanished. Buildings started to be abandoned while my population (and demand for industry) kept rising. At one point I even unlocked the observatory due to 1000 abandoned commercial buildings.

I figured it must be part of the game mechanism but around 190k pop growth stopped. People were getting to and from work just fine, resident buildings were gradually hitting level 5, offices nearly all level 3, so I decided to take a look at your code and figured the adjusted resident income (or some part of the wealth calculation) must cause the problems.

To try it out, I disabled the WBResidentAI and made it use the default game version of it. I started up a savegame and watched commercial demand booming from 20k income to 50k+ in 15 minutes. Population grew fast too (with it already being at around 180k income).

So while this proves the adjustments to the AI have an effect on commercial demand and it is not broken in general, replacing it with the default AI prevents residential buildings from leveling up because the wealth counter is no longer updated. I don't know what you modified in the AI but I think you should take a look if you have a chance. And if I need to provide some information, I'll be happy to help.

As for the discussion part of this discussion... Has anyone else had problems with commercial demand after 100k pop or the year 2060-ish or just in general?

Mods I use are: Extended public transport, ARIS overwatch, hearse and garbage fixes, auto bulldoze, autosave, traffic++ (ghostmode), metro station overhaul, better smaa, precision engineering, traffic manager and city vitals watch. None of them should have an effect on the resident AI because disabling them all and leaving this mod active doesn't change the demand.

I have the same problem. Around 100K, commercial demand went to zero. Have you figured out a way to solve it by chance?
