What's it like?

Love, hard work, and determination all folded into puppy dogs and phazers. I have not tryed to play multiplayer yet. There are 3 factions to choose from. Resources are mined off astroids and research is easy to understand if you have any knowledge about rts games.

Star Trek Continuum is a faster paced fleet simulator with minor base building and research elements. You choose an era and a race to play, and battle it out with other races of your choice (random isn't an option).

Pros:
-Very well done ship modeling and diversity of ships per era
-Decent fleet handling system
-Great thematic mod
-Games are fast and fulfilling

Cons:
-There are no "epic" modes of advancement. This isn't a civillization style mod. You cannot advance between eras.
-Photon torpedos are VERY long range, but very innacurate. When ships "advance" to their firing range, they advance to their torpedo range (not their phaser range). Makes for amusing cripple fights. Handle your fleets well to get more fantastic fights.
-My brother and I could not find each other on local LAN, had to use tunngle to play.

All in all, it's a simple, fun mod to play. Give it a try if you like Star Trek

The -mpbeta command line should be usable with the mod to allow multiplayer access

There is a space for it in the launcher, the Homeworld Remastered launcher
