The absence of the Miranda and Excelsior from the Fed TNG lineup was kind of jarring to me too. The K'tinga from the klingon TNG era as well. These ships all featured super heavily in DS9 especially, and its kind of hard to have your own Way of the Warrior, or Dominion War fleet without the ships that made up the majority of them. I guess the authors have decided to keep the ship lists for each era as trim as possible, seeing as there is absolutely no overlap anywhere?
