How do I install for mapping?

I have been wondering how to install it for mapping because the readme is too vague, like, where the hell is the models folder? Why do I have to go to a half life 2 folder instead of gmod? WHAT THE HELL DO I DO!!?? PLS HELP!!!!

Also, side note: the directories that lead to the models, textures, and maps folders do not work
