How to modify the mission in eden?
It sounds like you can edit the mission, but i can't figure out how you do it. Could some just explain how to open the mission in the eden editor for me?

You'll need this http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=16369

After thats downloaded you got to Documents/ Arma 3 - other profiles/ your profile/ saved/ steam/[SP%2fCO]%20A3%20-%20Antistasi%20Altis.Altis. in there you will find a .pbo file, right click it and you should see a pbo manager option, click that. extract it to that large name file again. Then you take that new folder (large named one) and move it to missions folder in your profile name folder.

From there you should be able to open it in the editor.

Will post with my own resaults to make sure I've informed you corectly.

Edit: Well it works but you'd need ALiVE mod in order to do it it would seem. I'd try now but honestly I'm too tired and am going to bed here soon. But if you can understand what I've explained you should be able to do it, just have the mod "alive" from workshop installed.

Let me know if that helped or if I just spouted out gibberish.

Well assuming you mean that you did get to actually install it onto your pc, you should have an option when right clicking the .pbo file to extract its' contents into a folder which would allow you to then edit it. make sure its installed, if its not working delete it from your pc and do a fresh re-install, then open (extract) the .pbo file within your documents/ other profiles/ [profile name]/ saved/ steam/ [SP%2fCO]%20A3%20-%20Antistasi%20Altis.Altis//

Are you installing the right version? 32 or 64 bit?
twigwolf4 Jun 12, 2016 @ 9:07am
im just downloading the one at the bottom of the page

Yeah, but in the install what option are you choosing? 32bit or 64bit? download the one that your pc is running.

sorry scratch that, its two winrar files you get after downloading the pbo manager. A x64 and x86, make sure to install the one the right one. Since my steam is located with in Program Files (x86) I installed the x86 version. you may have a different location for your steam folder.

Question on editing

I've got the pbo editor no problem, I extracted to a directory. Went in and modified files - at this point I just want to make sure I'm doing it right so I did something crazy like set the starting HR to 20 and the FIA money to 100k. Like I said, I wanted to do it big so I'd notice it.

Then I repack the directory into mission.pbo (with the game NOT running)

Load the game up, and nothing changed.

Any ideas?

You need to make sure copy the original .pbo file for a backup, after that for me I like to move the extracted folder onto my desktop to edit the extracted file(s), and delete the original .pbo. Once I've done the edits I wanted I move the folder back into the mission folder and pack it into a .pbo.
