Great mod still have great problems with MP saves
First of all - absolutely fantastic mod - I am determined to learn how to make it work as it is exactly what I am looking for.

Now as to my problem, the save system is confusing and I am running against a wall how I can predict what will be able to restore.

I understand that the game does not save most things, but sometimes my characters stuff is saved, sometimes not. Also the content of the ammo box is not saved in either SP or MP but I could learn to live with this.

I also played a bit around in SP and it seems to work. The player avatar and name is Stavros and with him everything seems to work fine. The game asks me at the beginning of the session if I want to load the last save and if I say Yes, restores my loadout.


But in MP the player is a different avatar, the name and appearance is the one from my current profile. This would be fine, but it seems with this player loadout etc is not saved. Strangely the game saves the head-quarters and vehicles within a few meters, but the player always starts out with the default loadout for the commander role, not the last one whan I made persitent save.

This is is not an attempt to nag, I understand that this is probably not easy to achieve but I really want to know how to do it right and explain it to some mates who want to play too!

in MP hosted there is a small bug for hosters which disables the save of their personal stats

Thanks for the quick answer! Is there anything I can do? Like playing in a different role?

Also what is the "small bug". Maybe you can explain a little more? I understand programming.

its small because has no heavy impact, its just the personal data of the hoster is not being loaded on init, but it has been already solved in dev branch and I suppose this week it will be public.

Thanks, I will wait and test and then report back.

Though I must say personal data sounds different to "loadout" and "crate". I don't yet understand why there is a crate next to the player that does not store anything, but maybe thats a technical limitation.

Another thing I noticed is that when I begin a new game there is stuff in the inventory (eg rocket launchers) then when I restart the mission it is all gone.

But as I said, I will wait and let you know if I notice anything different.

It seems to work now, but only because I disabled all RHS mods.

I tried twice and also re-enabling it to be sure. And it seems to go on/off depending on RHS enabled ort not.

So what happens is this:

RHS enabled (all 4 modules): SP works, some minor error messages. Nice selection of equipment. Multiplayer always reverts to default loadout and probably unplayable because of unpredictable saves.

RHS disabled (all): SP works. MP works, loads the correct loadout at time of last persistent save. Probably the only way this has to be played for me

I think I either play SP or MP without the RHS mod which is a shame because I liked the weapons in it, but this is certainly not your responsibility about this mod.
