New tips for beginners?
Any tips that could be useful?
I am a few hours into my first Antistasi campaign, and basically what I have been doing was get a few towns and resource points to my side, capture a few Humvees, and then organize assaults to close by Outposts, so far it was been successful, and my HQ is now close to Kavala it all surrounding outposts captured, right now my main concern is if there is any other way to recover the inventory of a vehicle it out having to drive it all the way to the main base.

Well, go for the Powerplants - imho they are the key for success from a strategic point of view. In our campaign it was the break even point as we captured and hold the powerplant at Kavala and the Radio tower above. After that towns are switching sides much faster cause you are the power provider ^^ - and ressources and factories multiply the outcome.

This is my experience as Commander tho... :-)

Hello there. I think the biggest thing I had to get use to is the pacing of the game. You really need to be patient and try to slowly build up equipment and vehicle stockpile in first half of the game. One thing I find very frustrating early on but later came to accept is that you will have substantial difficulty holding territory at the start. My first 1/3 of a campaign usually involve no control over any territory. The counter attacks are just too strong. Posting a lot of undertrained AI is a waste of money and precious HR. I save them for mortar teams as it is a more cost effective use. Press Ctrl Space bar to go into tactical mode, select the mortar squad and press shift Y to give them fire missions. Be warned, mortar fire draws enemy air strike so keep them in remote fields and move frequently. You don't want napalm to burn petros to death at HQ. I would not station your HQ too close to any city, outpost, factory etc. If you fail to hold it, you may end up having enemy foot patrols bumping into Petros. I would also attempt to hide him indoors in a reasonably sturdy structures as I don't want an attack helo instantly killing him on defend mission.

My early game objective was always to hit up roadblocks, patrols and vulnerable outposts and retrieval as much gear as possible. I also know that the attacks draws QRF be it infantry trucks or heli and try my best to ambush them as well. Static AT weapon works really well if you emplace them in elevated position overwatching roads leading to nearby enemy outpost. Once you have unlocked a reasonable arsenal and decked out a few vehicles, you can be more bold in your attacks. The ammo mission is usually quite profitable. If blufor still hold the Kavala area, the ammo truck might spawn at the base near the hill fort. You can drive undercover right up to the truck, dismount and get into the truck ASAP. Attrition is noticeable. My earlier game attacks would draw massive enemy response but as I rack up more kills over time, the counterattacks gets more anemic.

The fastest way to pocket vehicle and its inventory is to bring them near any outpost/city/factory you control and garage them into personal garage. The item saves into arsenal. Be warned, saving the game preserve the faction garage but not the personal garage content. I think the personal garage saves to your local game file or something so they don't reload if you lose them. I usually keep my best vehicle in the faction garage and expendable stuff in personal.

When you are ready to hold territory (usually noticeable when NATO stop immediately counterattacking what you took), I usually rely on spamming static guns at outposts and garrison them with militiamen to crew it. I assign 3-5 squad leader to improve spotting, 2-3 medic to heal and around 5 AT if enemy armor attack is likely. You can grab the static MG from roadblocks by stealing them and retrieving the bags, or buying them at the flag and putting them into arsenal until you unlocked infinite. Stock AA truck is abysmal, the attack chopper can spot them 2-3km out and nail it with hellfire. If you run RHS mod, you can buy and deploy ZU static instead. They perform substantially better in air defense and I employ 5- 10 of them depending on the size of the area I want to protect. Be prepared to take losses and recruit more men in between waves of attacks.

have fun.
