I totally agree, I really enjoyed the mechanic of gaining favor with the US, and being able to call in arms and support from them.
I also very much enjoyed the older way of Antistasi. I know you can play against just one faction, but I enjoyed the dynamic of your group being supported by NATO.
Edit: I also tend to run antistasi on my own server time to time with a small group.
Got to dash, new outpost to designate for a Nato bombing...
Just remember: you best protection is not getting advance gear but "undercover"
