Make the AI defeatable!
As many. many other posts here have pointed out, this mod is fatally flawed in that the enemy sends overwhelming forces that the player and their forces simply cannot defeat no matter what. Sure, it makes sense for the enemy to have much greater resources than the player. But infinite?

The enemy literally can send as many men and vehicles to death and destruction and never falter? Never consider that maybe taking this defeat is better than trying to retake it at incredible losses? I'm sick of snagging some isolated outpost in the middle of nowhere, garrisoning it up with good troops, and than getting destroyed by a large army of helicopters, tanks, APCs and more. And if you defeat the overwhelming enemy horde, they just come back AGAIN. and AGAIN. and AGAIN. Until you lose. Is this isolated outpost garrisoned by a few guerillas really worth losing a veritable fleet of helicopters, dozens of men, and several vehicles? I guess so when you have unlimited men and resources. Any loss is acceptable...

I find the longer you play the worse it gets. The only thing to do is not garrison a base or fight off a attack and just take it back after loosing it. Not a fun way to play but no matter what you do the enemy will 90% of the time just destroy your AI and static weapons with a bomb run. The spawns are so dumb because they just spawn in 1 spot so 1 bomb takes out your AI in seconds. This used to be such a fun game mode before the last update.

Not sure whats happening in your campaigns. But the AI attacks are defeatable, with varitability in difficulty.

Early game yes but lvl 8 war level or above and its nearly impossible in single player. I used Zeus to watch attacks and placed AA tanks down to see what would happen and as soon as you wipe out the first 5 helo's another 5 will spawn and continue to do that for ages. So you might spend weeks/months building your AI for them all to be wiped out with a single bomb run and the AA will run out of ammo before a attack is stopped in the later game. I watched a attack on NATO by CSAT and its the same story, It seems if a side attacks it will just keep spawning more and more AI until a attack is a success. Who would sent 20+ helo's to take 1 outpost? and who is really going to defend against 20+ helo's using just AI who have no AA soldiers. The AI don't respond until they get attacked so by then its to late.

Ah. You might have some point. Vanilla it is harder cause the helos have better weapons and sensor and crappy independent's static aa. Consider adding RHS. The capabilities of the air assault is reduced a bit and the AA defense you have access to is quite a bit better.

Ye mate I tried both and it's the same tbh. What made me give up was placing AA tanks (so cheating) just to see what would happen and watch from the base the AI is attacking from using Zeus. It seems later game you can wipe out x amount of helos and more and more will keep spawning until they capture the base/outpost.

I had control of the whole SE side of the island with 6 AA,AT and HMG at each base, roadblocks, watch posts and at least 30 men at each base but I could never stop the attacks later game. It seems the best way to play is let them capture the destination then take it back quickly which isn't how it used to be. If 20 helos come during a attack my AA would run out of ammo and the garrison gets wiped out with bombs and rocket attacks. I used to love the game mode but after seeing that with Zeus I just gave up until hopefully its updated in the future.

yeah same thing is basicly happening to my game as well. but instead the enemy is just keeping on attacking petros, dosn't matter where i move the base 10-30 mins later i get the defend petros mission. I basicly just sitting defending petros all day long.

and to make things worse i get mutliple defend resource missions, so eventually i can't afford to by new AA guns to defend petros.

it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous, every time i see the notation that an AFRF attack is incoming, i just hop into zeus and spam AA tanks around the airfield, the amount of units they send is stupid, the worst thing is theres not a lot you can do about it strategy-wise, we went out on a hit-and-run attack on the airfield producing the attacks, a few minutes after we'd raced off with a stolen tank, they send an attack with the same cpu burning amount of units they had before

Ye that's exactly what I saw using zeus, put AA tanks down and watched from where they were attacking. I just cant see how your expected to defend wave after wave of helicopters and tanks. What makes it worse is you cant even recruit AA men anymore so you stand very little chance later game. Guess that's why Sovietwomble and his crew have given up on the mod? I've seen them complain about so many bugs and he doesn't stream it anymore so can only assume they got fed up of the bugs.

I've been playing the version they've been updating for the community over at the official server forums, they don't really use this version much anymore, maybe on a rotation.
