Various Linux Fixes
GETTING MODS TO WORK:

Lets start with the simplest way to get Warband mods to run in Linux. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s Ubuntu, so the easiest way to get Mods up and running smoothly is to either install Ubuntu as your main distro or setup a dual boot so you can run Ubuntu for gaming and your choice of Distro for everything else. If you choose Ubuntu to run your games you need to install qt4 libraries to get the game configuration to work (Configures your games so you can play mods)

Anyone still reading this is like me, the reason you chose to use Linux is because you wanted the freedom to choose the platform of your choice and do not want to be forced into installing another one. Before we continue just know that there is no convenient auto-updates using the following method so if you have a lot of mods installed you will be constantly updating them yourself. Also take note the steps below are a manual bypass of the configuration utility as I have qt4 installed and the still will not run.

1. Download mod of your choice <--- Don't bother subscribing just find the external download link and click on that, once downloaded extract the compressed archive and place it in the Warband module folder. /MostLinuxDistrosThisIsDifferent/steam/steamapps/common/MountBlade Warband/Modules

2. Enable "View Hidden Files" in your file manager <--- If you do not know how, then google it for your distro

3. Open folder /home/[YourUserName]/.mbwarband folder <--- the period means its hidden by default so if you do not see other folders like .local or .config then you have not completed step two properly

4. Open .mbwarband folder and look for last_module_warband file <--- If it does not exist simply create a new file as stated in step 5

5. Create or open last_module_warband file and type the name of the mod or dlc you wish to play <----The name you need to type is any folder name in this
/MostLinuxDistrosThisIsDifferent/steam/steamapps/common/MountBlade Warband/Modules
directory
^^For example you will find the Native, Napoleonic Wars, Viking Conquest in this folder as well. Just type these names into that file (use correct spacing and capitalization) and you will be able to play native, dlc's and any other mod folder you placed in that directory

Enjoy!

Why thank you good sir! I noticed I was mentioned for a fix so I figured I might actually write something a little more descriptive to actually deserve it.

Awesome mod by the way! Everyone who contributes to any kind of overhaul mod are the reason why people keep playing this game. Taleworlds owes a lot to guys like you keeping people playing while they work on Bannerlord. I'm also sure they will still owe you guys after Bannerlord is released when they are working out the bugs lol

If anyone else has any Linux fixes by all means post here and I will add it to the first post. So far there is only one other bug I have encountered. A weird sky bug in some scenes where the sky is completely black with a giant red reflection of the player character. Its very odd to say the least but if anyone figures out how to fix that for us Linux people that would be awesome! This sky bug occurs in all the different mods I've played so its not unique to just this mod.

Thanks again and hopefully someone finds this useful...
