My Idea for this awesome shotgun
Tactigatling
Level X Shotgun(yes that means that it is secondary)
I think that this would be a good assault shotgun, and the author made the barrels spin, but what if the barrels spin with each shot. I think that 10 rounds per the magazine thing on the right side of this gun by 5 mags max would amount to 50 shells total, which i think would be Balanced. I think that this weapon could be a more of an Shotgun Heavy go to weapon. Apparently the normal shogun(which has 6 shells in the magazine) has about enough ammo for 7 magazines. And given that with the previous proposition for the ammo, you have just 2 more ammo than the Family Business, I propose that instead you have 15 x7 shotgun ammo. Of course 1 magazine is already in the gun.


Pros:
When you hit someone with a shot, 3 second boost of speed. When you kill someone, 10 second boost. Of course there needs to be a minimum damage for the hit in order for you to get a boost on hit. 25 damage maybe?


Alt fire: hold mouse 2 to charge up a 3 shot shotgun attack.

Cons:
due to the supposed complexity of the magazine reload, +10 to 25% reload penalty. Or just that it is the magazine loading time equivalent of 2 to 3 shells in a normal shogun.

Edit: Changed total magazine ammo size to 50. Changed magazine size to 15 and 90 reserve. which is 7 total magazines for a secondary. Added a speed boost mechanic

good stats but.. that magazine thing sounds hard to make and i dont think that OP would do that...

I think that the magazine is on the right side, and it might look kind of awesome. A bit complicated, but hey the TF2 is in the 60's/70's/80's so kind of justified. You reload with a mag, insead of one at a time and you have faster firing speed, but a reload penalty. Would that make it balanced?

reload penalty sounds kinda weird lol with a mag i should be faster...

Like I said Cold War weapons. Those were some weird times. Also there is a good other secondary that is a gun for the Heavy, the Heavy Caliber. And i did write, that"due to the supposed complexity of the magazine reload" the reload is slower. However you get 10 shots with the mag, while you have to reload the normal shotguns one shell at a time.

Would this item benefit from having a Hp gain sort of mechanic, similar to the Powerjack or the BlutSauger? Or a speed boosting mechanic? For example on hit some 5 to 9 seconds of speed boost on hit. If a say 10 second speed boost on kill is implemented, then the on hit boost is lower than 9 seconds. Is that fair?

Abotu the reload time, because there must be something, how about the same time it takes you to put in 3 or 4 shells in the stock is the reload time for this gun? Good idea, bad idea?

Added some changes to the shotgun ammo pool, and put in a speed boost mechanic.

The speed boost on hit is WAYYYY too op, it needs to be removed. The speed boost on kill needs to be reduced to 3 or 4 seconds.

About the on hit effect, well, that can be removed, and you are left with the speed boost on kill. Of course, there can also be a minimum damage reqirement for the on hit effect in order to balace it out a bit. I thank you Astroid23 for bringing this to my attencion. For doing 1 dmage and getting a speed boost is infact OP. So for the minimum damage for boost on hit 25 Damage points, for example?
