What's the point?
I've spent like seven to ten hours playing this map so far. Is there anything to it, really?

First one or one and a half hours were just boring deathruns dedicated to finding out you can craft a headlamp and a spear. With those in hand - sure, everything became more or less stable. Around four hours in I find there's omnirun, and since then combat is just pointless and boring - just run backwards and heavy attack until the area is clear. Or mow the horde down in a matter of seconds with an Uzi, which is unlocked even earlier.
I've visited most POIs outside of the deadzone, save for the two on the north-west of the map, and out of all of them, and the only interesting one was the Shady Hollow. Everything else is really just average-looking empty space with the only loot in them being junk.
Following up on bland POIs, I didn't manage to find any sort of quest hub, and have therefore developed doubt that there is one in the first place. With no questing, is the only sort of progression on the map just looting the deadzone?
Imho there's practically no redeeming quality to this map. Most of it is just empty space, the combat is incredibly dull, the weapon pack is slightly upgraded vanilla (which I personally find garbage, but it's just a matter of taste at that point), and the only progression is going in circles collecting garbage in efforts to eventually make it to the deadzone and consider the map done thereafter. The only thing I enjoyed is that a lot of props are breakable and lootable, but I'm pretty sure that was already a thing in one of earlier curated maps, and therefore is not original.

tl;dr - is the map actually this bad and boring? Like, I think this is one of the few cases in which the word "slop" is genuinely applicable.
