Official ABEM Multiplayer Game
Today at 20:00 (8 PM) CEST/14:00 (2 PM) EDT/12:00 (uhh... 12 PM? This bit always confused me.) PDT/and so on, Alar and I will be hosting a match not unlike the weekly 'Dev-astation Friday' games. As with Dev-astation games, the game lobby will be up somewhere before the above time, and we (well, I certainly will, and I think Alar will as well) will be in the IRC for the duration of the game.

Game Rules and Settings

Theme/Style: FFA (Free For All).

Description (I'm not sure why the devs included this, but why not? :P): Free For All games are a match between all players. No hard alliances, no preset teams. It's every Empire for itself in this dog-eat-dog match.

Modification(s): Alternate Balance Expansion Mod, revision 395 (GoG users and other people without Workshop access: Use a Git client to clone this commit[github.com] (RECOMMENDED), or download its ZIP equivalent from this link.[github.com] Steam users: Just download the mod from the Workshop, none of that mucking about with GitHub.), no other mods.

Map/Scenario: To be determined in lobby.

Galaxy Count and Spacing: To be determined in lobby.

Special Rules: Game will be concluded 2 hours after starting and the victor will be the Empire which, at that time, has the most points. (Assuming nobody wins before that.)

Turnout was less than anticipated (only 4 players - if you include Alar and me, that is - ever made it to the game, one of which left early on), but it was fun. Right up until the part where my connection decided it hated me. :/

No ETA on the next match yet (or even if there's going to be a next one), but it WILL be properly announced if it comes.
