Anyway, the usual package would be:
1) FU BYOS support
2) Non-FU BYOS support
3) Race Traits
4) Inspection text and NPC reactions (VERY few races do that, meanwhile nothing breaks immersion harder than an apex asking a humanoid spider "Is your government tyranical too, *human*?")
5) Naga skin (or just a better blend of a snake lower body to the human upper part)
6) Racial furniture (very much optional, since vanilla game already has plenty of different styles available, even more can be added by mods and furniture in general rarely adds much to the experience)

Als about race traits - please, please, PLEASE don't do +Fire -Ice Resistances!!!
I know reptiles are coldblooded, so it is logical for a giant snek to be so too, but come on, we already have 9 (!!!) reptilian races all with fire-res bonuses + huge ice-res penalty and only one (avali) that has the opposite.
It's a sci-fi game, "fi" here stands for "fiction". You don't need to base everything on Earth, just say your snek come from a cold planet and they evolved to be cold-resistant and that would be totaly fine.
@Wakazu You can make cold-resistant reptiles in sci-fi, but they still need to have some believability. The Avali aren't just "dinosaurs but it's cold", they've got feathers and other adaptations that impact various aspects of them and their tech and whatnot. Slapping a "btw we're cool with the cold" sticky note on these guys without changing anything else is not the answer.

That being said, it might be fun to play with alternative stat possibilities. For example, perhaps instead of ice, they're weak to physical attacks, squishy-wizard style. Maybe they could get immunity to burn status and/or biome heat without necessarily having fire damage resistance. The "subterranean" trait would also fit pretty well.

I was thinking leaning more into the subterranean side of it for race traits. While they are from hot planets, they also happen to inhabit the coolest parts of them, the cave systems underneath. I'd probably go more physical, fall, and electric resistance, as well as better hunger, with penalty to something like energy and or attack. Robust rather than powerful, relying on size and persistence to survive. That's the idea at least, idk if it would be fun

Special snek pets! :D (advice from a fellow snek mod maker :3)
It could be cool as in offensive/utility action for the player to coil and grip around entities, items, and possibly weapons with how large the tail of the player is. I don't know how hard that could be to code since I'm not a modder and what not.

If it doesn't happened that's okay. seeing this mod alone "Snaked my day" :)
I like the snek tech so far. It'd be nice if (1) the hold-Shift part of the tech allowed you to lift just a little more of your body off the ground while not transformed and/or jump while using it, (2) there was a way to temporarily lock where the supporting part of the body is so you don't slip off ledges so easily, and (3) there were more lack-of-leg-wear options. This snek too thicc for the Lamia clothing lol

The recoil from using Fire/Ice/Poison breath feels a bit excessive :)
You can be flying really fast and then it just stops you completely -.-

Two suggestions after a small bit of playing:
Knockback immunity during snake form
Adding i-frames to bite so you don't take damage when you hit something with it, and also making it count as a hunting weapon so you can get frequent meat drops
The breath powers are a bit OP at lower tiers. Could maybe use a nerf, or at least have damage depend on your attack multiplier.
