We should be able to implement balance changes very quickly. The more I get the faster I can balance.
hi, some balance i think usefull cause its a bit unfair to keep thing like that :
removing riot for the skaven and make all the other issu related to the low loyality more impactful
up the heat res of the tombking (enought to survive without shadow or water in the desert) or removing the dying from heat and add something else to balance that advantage

like you said in the mainpage about buffing the loyalty of the skaven, i dont think its the right thing to do, like the skaven are some anoying rat that dont want to listen at all, even in death scenarios (total war warhammer 3 for exemple, what a sh*tload of unsupervised children on to much sugar)
like i said above, removing the riot in some sort and keeping the low loyality as it is right now can be better, the only big issu skaven have right now is to repair everything every ingame day and riot scale with pop exaclty like the skaven so it only get worst with time
also the only "good" way to feed them is with cannibalism cause no way you are gonna get enought mushroom or meat for thousand of rat not wanting to work 1 day every 2 day, not a big issu but to help with the low loyality removing the debuff from pop dying can help a bit (link to loyalty at least, idk if it affect anything else)

Removing the riot event for skaven is possible I believe. It will require a source code alteration unlike just increasing loyalty. The idea I have been thinking of is linking skaven loyalty to food rations and security. The only two things that really get skaven to temporarily stay in line. This however is definitely going to be a bit complicated

if i understand it right, you want to make the loyalty link to food and security,
food is weird in that game, even at 1.0 food acces (the minimal) i cant feed everyon (at 300 pop) maybe its just me but making 25% of the whole map farms, just to get 10 mushroom is crazy bad
security can be good and make sens lore wise but ingame to unlock the guard post you need at least a good research center going (so everything around it working to supplies it) maybe armies walking in the city can help but also them need thing to be train and use as soldier, so both option cant be made early game, even if there is a way to do it, you are going to die from heat or food befor
idk how to solve the security issu (it can be me im not a good player in that game)

You dying from heat?…I guess there are no pools of water nearby? I literally never have anyone die from heat but I usually start with water in my map. Also what this about food? Did you not spec into any food tech?? They have a 1.8 multiplier on mushroom farming and if you go into a climate with good food production you should be more than fine.

I played dwarves who are way worse at making food and eat just as much without any issue on a mountainous biome with *0.7 food production for all farms. So I am quite curious whats causing your food to be so difficult

You dying from heat?…I guess there are no pools of water nearby? I literally never have anyone die from heat but I usually start with water in my map. Also what this about food? skaven only like volcanic biome and they also like natural rock wall so building in a mountain is the best so i usually do is ~70% mountain, ~10% water (weirdly its less than a 20x20pond of water so its very small) ans the other ~20% is openland/forest
but to get the water inside the mountain you need to bring the water (cause "well" tech are far) and for the map you need to custom it on the world map and to have luck on the reroll of the land to get everything you need close to where the main base is gonna be place
i cant show you cause for some reason all my save broke last night from a update of the mod

Latest update should have fixed the issue where bodies of water sucked up moisture from everywheere on the map. So this should help your mountain farming issues

And yea the last update did break saves to my surprise. Trying not to release many save breaking updates but there is only so much you can truly change without editing source code

i dont really have farming issu since, skaven only like meat and mushroom, so i dont need water for both
i only get water for them to not die from heat cause volcanic biome
i can farm but never enought to feed everyon
