About Weapon Sharpness
In B42, weapons now include a brand new value:Sharpness
This sharpness system operates differently from regular durability and weapon head conditions.

It primarily consists of three values:
  • Current Sharpness: Self-explanatory - your weapon's current sharpness value
  • True Max Sharpness: Set to "1" in scripts, though some modded weapons may have higher values (untested beyond 1)
  • Effective Max Sharpness: Calculated as: Weapon Head Condition / Max Weapon Head Condition


When sharpening tools:
  • Successful sharpening restores sharpness to Effective Max Sharpness
  • With damaged weapon head condition (<100%), sharpness cannot reach True Max Sharpness (1)


These findings are based on code analysis. I haven't thoroughly tested the sharpness mechanics in-game. Feel free to share your experimental results below!


在B42中,武器包含了一个全新的数值:锋利度
而这个锋利度与其他的耐久以及武器头部状态都不一样
它主要包含三个值:
当前锋利度:这个很好理解,就是你的武器的当前的锋利度数值
实际锋利度最大值:这部分在脚本中设置为1,但是一些模组的武器可能会有更高的值,我还没有试验过超过1的值可不可行
最大锋利度:这部分的计算方式是:武器头部状态 / 武器头部状态最大值

所以当你磨刀时,成功时,你会恢复到这个最大锋利度,但是在你的武器头部状态不为满的时候,你不能将锋利度恢复为实际最大值也就是1

这是我目前通过代码了解到的一些信息,但是我没有对于这个锋利度系统进行详细的游玩实验,欢迎大家在下面补充

I have an idea for displaying sharpness, maybe there could be different sprites for the slot containing the item, flat one for full sharpness, and more jagged edges for the other ones.
