I’m reaching out to the developer of this mod because I’d like to collaborate on this project. I’ve been thinking for a while about developing helicopter mods for Project Zomboid, but due to a lack of time and because my modding knowledge is still quite limited, I haven’t started yet.

The thing is, for some time now, I’ve had some great ideas for a more realistic helicopter mod. I’m referring to a mod where helicopters behave like aircraft rather than as cars within the game. This way, helicopters could have their own dashboard with indicators specific to an aircraft, and we could even use buttons and switches to simulate a startup sequence for the helicopter.

Similarly, we could change the helicopter's mechanical parts, replacing the engine with a turbine and its associated components, as well as introducing helicopter-specific mechanical parts (rotor parts, hydraulic system, electrical system, aircraft battery, etc.). We could even change the type of fuel, so instead of using car fuel, the helicopter would require JP-5.

Anyway, my programming skills are not very advanced, and I’m still learning to model. However, in real life, I’m an aircraft mechanic in the navy, and I’ve worked closely with helicopters. I think it’s possible to develop a realistic and much more interesting helicopter mod.
