*Use advanced movement techniques such as a "slide wall pounce", "backflip pole jump", or "den boost". Some of these are difficult and require a lot of practice - I can't even do them. There is a way to climb wall using wall pouncing, but I can't find documentation for it. As for the rest, you can find them explained here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1o3gouaiHsHT2H9d2HD5gDhgmoWwoL94gSFt7Ka1-vDk/
*Use Dev Tools (accessible in Remix options). Press O to enable them in-game, then V to pull your character towards your mouse cursor. This can also help you get unstuck from places. VERY USEFUL.
*Enable Collision in the pause menu and jump on the head of a friendly player.
*Reach the shelter nearest to the location you're trying to get to using a different character that has an easier time accessing it. Once you've mapped the shelter, you can go to any shelter as any character, open the pause menu, and use Passage to teleport to the shelter you want to reach.
*Teleport to Hub form the pause menu. This is only useful for some areas where the hub is past the point you can't access, like beyond the worm grass staircase in Farm Arrays.

To answer your second question, all the tokens you collect count towards unlock progress. Once you get enough, they automatically give you the unlock. You need 4 red tokens for emotes, 6 blue tokens for skins, and 8 yellow tokens for new characters. (Yellow ones are tracked across all characters. Red and blue are only for that particular character.)
Question: How do you unlock passages?
