Bug report list
As the title above states, I made this topic for those wishing to make any and all legitimate bug reports on this mini-mod, decided to make this when I encounter two bugs on my first run in this mini-mod on legendary difficulty, though i'll leave the bit about the "hostile Elites/Elite-loyal Grunts on the mod's main page of course.

Here's the other bugs aside from the "hostile Elite/Elite-loyal Grunts" that I detailed in the mod's comments.

When entering the usually-locked door as shown in the two screenshots ( https://i.imgur.com/oBpOhBQ.png https://i.imgur.com/BiwTHOX.png ) and the door closes after entering, you get permanently stuck inside as shown in this screenshot ( https://i.imgur.com/qYB5Wmq.png ) and only reloading to the checkpoint made before entering helps to undo this annoyance.

When I enter the part with the camo'd elites and got rid of their hostile-selves along with the Elite-loyal Grunts, the door at the end refused to open like it normally does after reaching the proximity trigger for it, leaving my first legendary run in this mini-mod soft-locked it seems. :uritona: (proof pics: https://i.imgur.com/zxf3sCA.png https://i.imgur.com/Zk1U3Qk.png )

My guess is that this mini-mod isn't meant to handle the usual legendary difficulty-laced zaniness that we Halo vets are all-too-well used to these days and as such, a lesser difficulty is needed, i'm guess it "might" ("might" being the key term) handle the so-called "canon Heroic difficulty" hopefully.

also yeah i uhhh only balanced this for heroic, i did not bother to touch legendary except for a couple spawns in the wave defence section and an extra spawn at the start of the mission

i did not know about that mausoleum door thing, i shall look into that, should be a straightforward fix. apologies for the inconvenience! also got a few other bug fixes done that will be added in the next update

Gotcha, glad to know that I could assist in reporting these oddities, you should place a little notification warning others that this mini-mod isn't built for legendary difficulty, that way people won't get confused as they continuously endure the unrelenting legendary difficulty for naught since protecting NPC-allies is a very annoying and arduous ordeal when you already have to worry about yourself most of the time, especially due to those extremely-infamous one-hit kill sniper jackals on said legendary difficulty for instance... :OhNo:

Thanks, it'll make life easier for us legendary-usual-goers that'll understand the warning bit. :higu_mion:

Though hopefully you can adjust it later (not anytime soon obviously, just in due time) for those like me that normally choose legendary of course.

yeah that's fair, problem is playtesting can be a bit of a pain because you can't actually save checkpoints in the mod tools, so if i find a bug that screws everything up i have to restart the level to see if it's fixed, or set up a test script to artificially create an environment containing that bug, not to mention i've just never found legendary in h2 that fun because of how stupidly unbalanced it is, especially in MCC

long story short, maybe but it is very low on my priority list

I hear ya, as long as the warning about it not being built for legendary difficult and instead meant for the so-called "canon Heroic" difficulty then us legendary difficulty-usual-goers will more than understand, though the bold will likely want to see if it's doable, but that'll be on them to balance between keeping the unique HVT Elite and themselves alive throughout the chaos of course... ^^;

I'm unable to get past the section where a phantom comes down in the middle of that chasm area and drops reinforcements. The phantom just sits there and does nothing, or 1/10 checkpoint restarts it drops reinforcements and leaves. But either way the door remains locked and I can't proceed. Tried restarting the level but still happens for me.

Great mod dude, I like it! I'm getting stuck in the mausoleum as well though. I can enter the mausoleum and face a few waves but after I finish the one with the hunters, nothing seems to happen afterwards. Nothing spawns and no dialogue commences so don't know what's supposed to happen next. If I walk up to the main doors that are locked I can hear something behind them so maybe an enemy is stuck in a wall or something and the game isn't registering that the wave is cleared?

I don't think it's the door to the mausoleum unless I'm mistaken, it's the second outside rocky area with the tree looking things that have green things on them. After the second set of light bridges. Picture for reference, hopefully this helps. This is the area the phantom gets stuck at and the door on the other side remains closed.

ah nuts, i thought i fixed that but i'll have to try another method. basically sometimes the enemies get stuck outside the mausoleum because of funny halo 2 a.i pathfinding, i tried to rectify it but i'll see if i can't figure out another method

ahhh i see, did this happen in the latest version? i think i added a provisional failsafe just in case, but if it didn't work then i'll look into it further

also in regards to the door not opening, it won't open until the elite buddy gets to the area, i'll add a failsafe teleport to speed things up if the elite buddy gets stuck somewhere before that

that is very interesting, i'm not sure why the elite buddy wasn't there as i added a failsafe teleport just in case he was some distance away.

from what i can see, the elite buddy failed to show up to the little scene that plays out and as a result the whole thing broke, i'll look into why he didn't teleport but this is exceptionally useful, thanks!
