Appendix A: In depth look.
In this appendix we describe in depth the contents of the mod.
Technologies
Meld Research
The Meld research itself requires Hybrid Materials and Alien Bio Tech technologies unlocked. It costs 30 meld to start.
This tech enjoys the unique feature where having more of the meld in store speeds up the research speed. Every 25 meld you have stockpiled counts as one extra scientist working on the tech.

Lost Smelting
This is done in the proving ground (or in the Combined Workshop and Laboratory is that mod is installed, or not at all, if PEXM is installed).
You can melt 5 Losts in a day to get 2 meld. You can also do it in higher quantities, which is a bit more efficient.

MEC Suits
These are done in the proving ground.
Basic MEC Suit project is unlocked after the Meld research is done. The basic MEC Suit can be sidegraded to a Tanky or Mobile versions.
Plated Armor unlocks the second tier of MEC Suits, and allows upgrading Tier 1 suits into Tier 2 suits.
Powered Armor and Andromedon Autopsy unlock the final tier of MEC Suits, and Tier 2 MEC Suits can then be upgraded to corresponding Tier 3 suits.
