American Company Headquarters
For some reason, JP Morgan, Wells Fargo, and the Gold and Silver Company are headquartered in Louisiana at the start. No idea how to change it. I would love to be able to put them in their historical locations. It's annoying that I have to tag switch over and use the console to move them to a reasonable location. I don't have the patience to wait and see if it'll change by event or something. I guess I could disband them, but then I'd have less starting companies.

how do you move them in the console?

I've use a mod that creates a button for the console. I've used it since launch to fix borders since the game launched. You cannot move them in the console. I tried to save edit them, but that takes a lot of work, and it's way more complicated than the other fix I've found. If you switch nations i.e. Texas and use the console to annex Louisiana, it will move to the next best state. If you do this at the beginning of the game the banks will move to New York. If you stay paused while doing this, the AI will not make any changes. If you do this at the beginning of the game, the GDP chart will look the same as any other start. I always use the console to take Louisiana back.

this is not only related to USA, it's about all countries. For author of mod, please look at vanilla common/history folder, it shows how to add company HQ:
company:company_william_cramp = { set_company_establishment_date = 1830.1.1 set_company_state_region = s:STATE_PENNSYLVANIA }
