Sid Meier's Civilization VI

Great Explorers (Great People Pack)
Carl Linnaeus was no explorer
Linnaeus was exclusively a museum worker and is only known to have traveled to the Nederlands. He is the epitome of someone who never explored. One of his "apostles" (as they are commonly known), such as Pehr Kalm, Pehr Forsskål or Carl Peter Thunberg would be a much more apt choice.

Didn't he also travel a bit through Scandinavia? But tbh, the names of mechanics are always a bit abstract and won't cover all cases perfectly. While he himself did not travel to different continents, he was still important *for* exploration and his famous works are the result of an academic environment focused on exploration, so earning him in this category still feels fitting to me. Also, I went with forests for his bonus so he could be used rather locally. If you plant forests, you can use him right there in your empire to maximum effect, after all.
