Bicycle Overview
Since they do not have electric parts, bicycles are extremely quiet on top of not needing fuel or electricity. However, you will be pedalling them, so they are quite slow, and they can't carry much.

Bicycle Types
There are various types of bicycle, each with their own advantages and disadvantages.
There is also a "Scrap" variant of each bicycle type that can be found, or crafted! The scrap variant performs considerably worse than a factory bicycle.

Regular Bicycle
This is your jack of all trades. The regular bicycle is average at everything. However, you will often find them with a basket, or if not, you can install one. Baskets allow you to carry some items on your bicycle.

Mountain Bicycle
The MTB is the pride and joy of any adventurer. It is considerably heavier than the regular bicycle and cannot have a basket. However, it comes with a headlight that gets charged as you pedal, is much more maintainable, significantly faster and can easily go off road.

Transporting Mechanic
You can pick up bicycles any time by right clicking one, or opening the radial menu while near one. This will take significant time, as your character disassembles the bicycle part by part.

You can put the bicycle back on the ground by right clicking its frame on your inventory and selecting "Drop". Your character will then reassemble the bicycle back with any parts you have in your inventory. Be mindful to remove accessories BEFORE picking up bicycles, as you may lose them in the process.

Pedalling Mechanic
As you pedal, your character gets warmer if they are cold. Additionally, pedalling gives your character a small amount of fitness EXP every now and then.

Exhaustion Mechanic
Pedalling will tire your character. Your average character with level 5 fitness will be able to pedal for about an hour and a half continuously without stopping to rest. Here's more info:
  • 35 minutes for Moderate exhaustion.
  • 65 minutes for High exhaustion.
  • 95 minutes for Excessive exhaustion.

At fitness levels 8+, you will barely get tired from pedalling. Regardless, you can set the cruise control at lower speeds so you tire less, or simply take a break!

Be warned however, as if you try to pedal when you are very exhausted, your character will fall off the bicycle, and can even get hurt!

Bicycle Manufacturing
You can find bicycle magazines around the world that will teach you how to craft your own scrap bicycles!

Bicycle Trailers
You can now also find cute little bicycle sized trailers you can attach to bicycles! The trailers can also be attached to any other vehicle.

Bicycle Locks
You can find or craft bicycle locks, which allow you to lock your bicycle, preventing other players from entering it. This doesn't stop them from just picking it up though, and I have good word that the key manufacturer is shifty and as such anyone with a lock key can open any other lock!

Lethal Frames
You can use bicycle frames as dual handed weapons! They are very slow and heavy but deal massive damage. Plus, it's a bicycle frame we're talking about, that's HILARIOUS!

Sandbox Options
You decide whether the exhaustion, fitness experience and warmth mechanics work.
It's also possible to adjust these mechanics and define custom values for them.
