For the sleeping people, are they Skeletons by any chance? Skeletons when they try to sleep in Human beds tend to just stand there next to the bed.
For non-skeletons, I may need to look into it? There's a few sleeping/bed related mods on the list (and the animation mods like you said), so there may need to be a patch again to fix it.
What are the affected races? At least in my experience, it's only been Skeletons so far but I assume that's more of a "Kenshi" thing, if anything lol.
No problem, I don't mind if the discussions are consolidated. It makes it easier for me to go back to discussion posts in the future to find random bugs people report (if I forget to put it in the To Do List).
For the Homeless people, are they belonging to any particular faction? The only recent change I could think of would be the new Minor Faction Overhaul mod, which does change/add a few new Great Desert specific characters.
Normally, if there are random Homeless encampments, they tend to be from UWE specifically (mostly like Empire Peasants, etc. in little shanty camps) or sometimes from the Random Loot Nests (most will be empty with Loot Nests, but sometimes there might be a guy attached to it).
If they're not moving around at all, that may be a AI package issue which would mean I'd just need to add a "goal" for them to do, ie. roaming around, sitting, etc.
If they're just kinda hanging around and moving through their own camps, that's most likely intended by UWE. Most of these encampments can provide some content, as most of the time in the Great Desert they're going to have some minor bounties (1000-2000ish Cats).
The factions i saw not moving were the false scorpions, the menders, and the nomads. They weren't at camps, I had seen some mender camps and scorpion nests and it's definitely different. Like I can go up to them and I tried to push them a little to see if they were stuck and they just stood there doing nothing with the aimless goal.
I'm currently doing a playthrough with your list so I am wondering, do you want me to report literally any bug or inconsistency I see or are there only certain things you're interested in?
For those factions, they do *normally* function correctly. They might've had an issue with their AI goals at that particular moment? It's one of those things, I imagine the next time you see some Menders they will be roaming around or hanging out in a bar somewhere. (Kenshi does Kenshi things at times
The Cuddling mod does affect normal beds as well, along with your sleeping bags which can hold two Characters (could be animals as well, if your Garru or Bone Dogs get injured, which is nice to be able to stack them up to be able to heal faster). Sometimes it does cause weird issues with certain beds, but it's mostly graphical (sleeping sideways lol) but they should still be getting their 400/800% bed rest bonuses. You can try to turn it off and see if it does anything, you might need to Import Game after changing mods around just to be safe.
Anyway since you don't mind a couple more things I've noticed about the pack, for one I believe the "rain waters crops" mod is redundant, unless it has more functions than described. Rain does that already in the vanilla game.
Also the sparring partner mod seems to be effecting random (possibly meant to be hireable) npcs from neutral factions like drifters or empire peasants that've never been in my squad, and so far it's completely random other than every npc that has the behavior of the mute hiver ray has that dialogue, including ray himself which shouldn't be possible since he can't talk. It's not limited to these slaves, I've just noticed they all have that issue.
I'll keep posting in this thread anything I see during my playthrough until it gets annoying, I like this pack a lot so I hope bringing attention to stuff helps
The rain one I was contemplating on, since I know vanilla does that as well. I left it in for redundancy since there's a whole lot of new crops with UWE (which also probably has rain ability as well), I may end up removing it after all in a future update to the list.
For the Sparring Partners, I made a Patch for it, which is on the list as well. Try and reinstall it to see if it works, although I may need to look at *vanilla* characters as well, because I went through all of UWE/Bounties Galore (Drug Peddlers, etc.) to make sure they work properly.
It's an easy fix otherwise, it has to do with the way their dialogue packages are built for their "NPC" dialogues (they get new dialogues if they're in your squad). I may need to go back through only the vanilla characters now, as some people have told me Beep was also affected
I suppose if it's Slave/Peasant/Drifter type characters, that makes it way easier to find since they're specifically called Slaves in FCS lol, and maybe more Unique characters I'll need to look at as well (Beep, Ray, etc). So if you happen to find any more, just let me know and I can update all the ones I've missed. There's like 1000+ characters so it takes forever to go one by one and looking at each dialogues
I don't know what is causing that Smuggler's Run thing to happen, I'll need to take a look. It was working just a week ago (for me), as I go through Shem all the time.
As for Smash, I think I'll need to edit his character to see if I can give them a sleep animation. I'll have to see if it's possible to edit *only* Smash instead of having to edit all Dead Hive characters.
Thanks for letting me know the other issues
It should hopefully be able to resolve some of these issues like the Smuggler's Run, random minor animation issues, etc.
I also plan on creating a "Roleplaying Tweaks.mod" to do some of the other Suggestions people have asked for, ie. fixing the night time being super dark and a few other things lol
This was an issue with Stranger and Freaks mod, it was removed with the most recent Update, as there's quite a few things wrong with that mod. It will need to be rebuilt, as it looks abandoned at this point. I asked the mod author if it would be okay for someone else to redo it, as I do like the mod.
