For the spike i think it will be too much ? But if you plan to add some mamoth variation (like for the bolt thrower?) maybe it could make some cool variant ?

Yea you right. Maby spikes for the altar of Khaine version, the norsca warshrine version also has some sort of spikes on the side.

I like the spikes personally as long as there wont be too much clipping
