I just went in and cleaned up some of that stuff. The problem is mainly that there are about 5 mods that have different takes on the HRE. I combined them into something that makes more sense but let me know what you see. I can always force some de_jures if need be which is what I recently did with Ireland.

Hey I noticed that sometimes when the hre forms there is still one issue despite it being much better than it was before. The kingdom of Thiduisklant stays as part of the empire of frankia after the hre forms. The rest of the hre is good but thiduisklant being part of the frankish empire means theres a random blob of the empire of frankia in the middle part of the hre. For my first few games after you fixed this it was perfect and formed like it was supposed to but for some reason this issue has been happening in my last few games. Edit: I'm not sure if this is why its happening but the issue started after I disabled the coronations mod now that I think about it so that I could use the new dlc

The holder of that Kingdom needs to own East Francia in order for it to switch over. Make sure you have Succession Expanded turned on. Also, check the de jure empire

I'll double check to make sure succsession expanded is activated when I get home from work. Also just to clarify I was referencing the dejure map mode(empire of frankia had not been formed yet but the blob in the middle of the hre showed on the dejure map) sorry if I communicated this badly.

Okedoke. The coding is there to make k_east_frankia a dejure of e_hre however sometimes odd ball things happen such a custom kingdom of the same name being created but actually isnt the coded one. In my most recent game I had two Kingdoms of Prydia. The coded one in England (k_prydia) and a custom one that had been formed in Scotland.

Sometimes if you open the save in debug mode and you look at the hierarchy you can see what’s actually going on.

Succession expanded is enabled. I double checked using a few more games and found that its happening pretty much every game the hre forms now. I opened the game in debug but tbh im not sure how to use it and am not sure where the hierarchy function is. I'm going to keep trying to find it though.

Ah I just discovered that when east frankia forms the hre the dejure map is correct, its only when italy forms the hre that the dejure hre does not include east frankia. Sorry for the mix up
