Very good mod heres some ideas to make it better.
1- Add alternate names depending on government type.
Such as Romerican Empire or something for imperial monarchism.
2- Rename Nova Roman, aka New Roman into Romerican as it would better signify the Romans integrating to the new land vs having Roman culture switch to Nova Roman.
3- Look into adding Confederate enemy nations based on Romes historical enemies.
Such as a Confederate Carthage Republic in Florida, a Greek Macedonian, a Germanic, and a Persian Confederate nation are all possible options. Could even look beyond the South by adding some in the Northern Yankee states, and if Persia is considered it would be perfect for the West Coast.
4- Look into alternative names for the other North American Italian colonial cultures.
