COOP issue

Me and a buddy want to play this in COOP, we took all the necessary precautions but it seems to just be perma stuck loading, any fixes for this?

Do both of you have both CE's Campaign and Multiplayer installed?

We do yeah, I'd like to assume it's the subtitles, I haven't tested with them off, but only the Nexus Mods page tells you to turn them off, not the workshop, so I wondered if the issue with them has been fixed with time, Maybe not.
