Description
IMPORTANT!!! This mod requires you have both the Campaign and Multiplayer of Halo Combat Evolved installed on MCC.





A full Campaign overhaul, focused on refinement of the sandbox and missions to create a more gratifying and decision-based game which fleshes out the game's potential.

>> The weapon, vehicle, and AI sandbox has been reworked so that every tool of destruction has its own meaningful, and fun role to fulfill.

>> The encounter and level design has been expanded for more diverse loops of gameplay to bolster the '30 Seconds of Fun' key to Halo.

>> Every facet of the game sees a new layer of polish. Everything from game-feel, AI behavior, scripting, sound design, to even cutscenes.

>> Droves of cut content from Halo's development have been restored, or repurposed to breath new life into various parts of the game.



This mod has two versions: Main and Lite

MAIN: The full package. Everything from the sandbox changes, encounter and level expansions, polish, and restored content.

the wraith in the library is kind of a crapshoot, enemies constantly take potshots at you and your firing speed is way too slow to deal with all the little enemies that can somehow two shot your vehicle,

Ruby at least 3 sources in the leaking community and dev talk communities are stating the Campaign evolved team is playing this and combat revolved for flow ideas. So congrats you are offically one of the three best ways to play CE.

@Spaghettacus The other game rebalances were made before this game had proper modding tools. So every update 343 released would break the mod. Now that those tools are available, mods can be preserved through updates. And so Ruby of Blue is going through and rebuilding each of his overhauls with the mod tools. He is currently in the later end of Halo 2. His rebalance is going to take longer than just restoring old mods though. Cause his ambition has grown with the ability these tools give him.

You might be able to play the other overhauls by finding them on the Nexus and then reverting MCC to a beta version that it was made for. But it would not be an easy thing to do.

Mini review: Ruby's re balanced mod promises to re balances a 25 year old game to make it even better and I would say he succeeded in it. Played on legendary solo I can confidently say that Ruby's re balanced mod is a must in 2025 and I would even go as far to say that you should only play Ruby's mod instead of vanilla Halo CE (2001). This mod is adds more encounters, environmental changes and new enemies to fight to with hidden encounters, weapons and vehicles to man. Even on legendary enemies felt just right and every death that happened were mostly my faults. A few negatives, In The Assault on the Control room due to levels length there are few health packs for the players to take and the lack of checkpoints which is frustrating, sometimes I would play for 15 min and clear a whole section but the game refuses to give me a checkpoint but despite of its checkpoints the mod is very enjoyable. And lastly Major Jackals felt overpowered. Recommended from me.

Question from someone who knows nothing about modding. How big of a task would it be to convert Halo 2 to Halo CE graphics? Would it be pretty much remaking the entire game or just swapping textures? I have been dreaming of entire Halo series made in CE graphics because the first games atmosphere is what i associate as Halo the most.
