Suggestion: Add H3:ODST style hog turrets for the marine defensive turrets, and add Ma5B/w 40mm
two ideas one post.

But I know it is possible in halo CE maps as some old custom edition maps had the turrets just on points on maps.

That said it would make more sense in some levels to have it instead of hogs at defensive locations. Also would be cool to see one or two in the maw that where set up during the crash or something.

As for the Ma5 with grenade launcher, blame SOI mod for this idea, this would be a second half weapon added in 343 guilty spark, seen first in the cutscenes and gotten shortly after off of a dead marine.

This is to give some late game use to the Ma5 in a different way the 40mm version only having a 30 round mag but having the ability to launch grenades holding 4 rounds. You generally get the rounds with the weapon though ammo pick ups can rarely be found.

Definitely possible and a good idea, just need someone to make the model and enter/exit animations for it, hahahaha

I know that whoever made the macworld mod got the animations working for a stationary turret, so you could try asking them if you feel like it.

As for the underbarrel grenade launcher, I always found it to be a bit too janky in the mods that have used it, since they tend to disable grenade switching for some reason. Dunno if there's a way to get around that.

that is because they tend to use SPV3s code which did that for balance.
